http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp....Watford_confirm_players_handed_scholarships/ 9 for the future?
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...enal-everton-and-tottenham-in-ultimate-league Sounds about right really.
The club has confirmed there will be a promotion party on Monday. Open top bus tour down St Albans road at 1PM and then the players will take the stage at Cassiobury Park with food and drink on offer. Have fun if you are attending.
It seems as though Bournemouth and us have really hit the jackpot. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32468550 Will the SW corner be finally sorted? Will there be an extra tier added to the SEJ stand? Is it possible to sort out and enclose the SE corner? Too early to expect answers, but I would be surprised if some planning is not underway.
Thanks for the info Dan, it affects when I'll leave my Mum's house to head to Gatwick for a flight at 5.20.
Shame it wasn't Sunday really. Am back for the weekend but have to come back down here on the Sunday! As for the money - surely promotion should make the company who has the contract forthe SW Corner progress things pretty quickly - otherwise we should look into that contract and see if we can just do it ourselves With regards to the East Stand - I believe they built it so it could be extended, but imagine they may wait a season for that to see if we can stay up and then extend
At one of those fan meetings recently they said they had the ability to put another tier into the SEJ. Think they'll need it. There's a huge energy about just now and it's quite intoxicating - even if we go straight back down I really hope we can hang on to it.
The advice these days, from those in the know, is to spend the Premier League money on infrastructure, academy, training facilities rather than player's transfer fees and wages. I imagine that the Pozzos will use the 120m to balance the books between Udinese, Granada and Us.
I can only imagine that the Pozzo's will continue to be as frugal as ever and will continue to look for the hidden talent that they seem to thrive on turning up. I am pretty sure some of the money will find its way back to Udinese and Granada and that is right and proper. We have the opportunity to plan ahead, I dare say that there has already been some significant wheeling and dealing going on and we all know how the Pozzo's love to keep things under wraps (quite right too) but it is fun to speculate. Especially now.
Lloyd Doyley will not be able to feature in the Hornets' final game of the season as he requires neck surgery, the Watford Observer understands. Doyley has not played since Boxing Day due to head coach Slavisa Jokanovic opting for other players and there has been a clamour from a section of supporters for the fans' favourite to have a run-out in the final game of the season on Saturday, as the Golden Boys chase the Championship title against Sheffield Wednesday. However, we understand Doyley has sustained what a source described as a 'medium-term' injury which requires neck surgery. The 32-year-old's contract is up in the summer and we understand the Hornets are in talks with the Jamaica international over his future at the club.
Slav and AG up for Manager/Player of month. Hope it's not a curse unless Howe wins it. Lee Probert named as ref on Saturday!
Even if we don't win the title we still get a little trophy apparently as runners-up. Not that we'll need it!
****.. What should we do - stay off the pitch until the 30 second mark to avoid Angella being sent off again?
Very much well deserved ... He made the difference this season . Without him we would have struggled to make the play offs .
