Well, the way ur scouting network works, it isn't Malky who would have idetified him. The player is watched many times then he would have come in much later... Malky will just come in and agree that the player looks a prospect. Will just be frustrating if he starts going after our targets that our scouts have identified, and would certainly be annoyig if he comes in with derisory bids for our players, ecause no doubt he knows how much we are williing to sell players for!
Although Kev I would have hoped we would be savvy enough to have put a clause in his transfer to cardiff stopping that!, If we havent then it is bad business, unless of course baz wants to keep asset stripping!
Not too sure that the term 'transfer' applies or that there would be anything to insert a clause into - surely we have simply agreed to tear up his contract in return for compensation from Cardiff? If there is some sort of legal paperwork, I really can't see that it could include such a clause anyway - I've never heard of any precedents.
Then if Baz was clever he would set a precedent in what I would say is an obvious clause! otherwise for 300k MM could relegate us! So if baz isnt just an asset stripping opportunist you would like to think he has safeguarded this!
I hope we have told Malky that for us to let him talk to Cardiff, he cannot come back and try and sign any of our players - preferably for 3 transfer windows! But we know that if he is given money, and comes in with a big enough offer, we will sell....
Does that kind of agreement usually get made? I just see him sweeping us out..i don't know why, suddenly i've lost trust..
I am hoping some sort of confidentiality clause may have been installed , If not were in even deeper poo!
I think it was Roy Hodgson when he went from Fulham to Liverpool where they agreed something similar.... But then he did buy Koncheskey, but they did a deal wher Fulham got a couple of Liverpool's youngsters! The worrying thing is, you'd expect Malky and Bas would have had some kind of meeting where they valued each player, agreeing how much they'd sell them for.
Just seen this on the Watford Rumours website: 20 Jun 2011 11:25:37 Bristol Rovers captain Stuart Campbell will agree to be Oldham player-manager after Paul Dickov agrees a move to Watford All seems a bit strange?!?!
Checking SkyBet, they have Dyche at 8/11 favourite, with Graham Westley 2nd at 5/1. No mention of Dickov at all. Also chatted to a friend at work who is a Man Cuty fan, from Oldham, and seems to think he and his family are very settled there and woudn't want to move!
I just cannot see him being interested in a move down south, he has no ties here! That site does not half come up with some crackers!
Forsyth seems to be the first summer signing... let's hope for a few more soon!! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6997634,00.html
