BB... "Bert Slater and of course one of your 5-a-day Rodney Green(s)." Rodney Green apparently was a 5-a-day man..."He's up, he's down, he's in The Rose & Crown, Rodney Green, Rodney Green..."
Norway, I just could not bring myself to put the trash on today. What complete and utter drivel, I hope that Riordan does not come down here, I have read that a MLS side are after him and they are welcome to him!
Thanks for that Hampshire although skybet have him as favourite although we have been here before with burnley!
I'm not sure bookies have an inside track - their odds are based on what the public bet - if bookies knew the answers there would be no industry
Just goes to show how clubs are looking at Watford if Brighton's reported opening bid for Will Buckley was doubled to get him and that of Danny Graham has risen by £1 million. Perhaps the valuations of £500k and £2.5 million were taking the mickey and £1 million and £3.5 million are fair (although I would have sent Swansea packing for that money). Is Laurence Bassini showing some awareness and resolve in the selling game after all? I hope so.
Taken recently from the Rumours page: Why are Watford hell bent on doing business with Walsall?! £500k for a striker with no pedigree what so ever and yet we still go back for Wiggins, Westlake, Grigg etc! And then there is Phillips who both clubs have been in for without even mentioning Sadler and Mingoia in the latest transfer saga between the two clubs! Lee Hodson is our equivilent to Westlake, as is Marvin Sordell to Grigg. They are all young players with respective talents, but £600k is a waste of money for these two . . from Walsall.
Apologies if you have seen this: Danny Graham was in Swansea today and has REJECTED the move, electing to remain at Watford for the time being. With the greatest respect to Swansea, it seems Graham was slightly perturbed by the town itself in comparison to his highly affluent current North London neighbourhood, and concerned about the educational prospects for his small children. It is expected money will eventually talk.
Well according to his twitter he is off to Dubai so if this is the case we won't be hearing much from this story for a while then..
More rumours: 07 Jun 2011 11:14:45 Watford News: Saw Malky in Berko yesterday and he promised he was staying and said he expected KP to sign very soon and he didn't think DG would sign for Swansea as another club had come in for him too. He was happy for Buckley to go for that fee as he was inconsistent and with the likes of Wichelow coming through was more than happy with the promise of a few buys and a couple of good loans he has lined up. Nice. 307440483 07 Jun 2011 10:54:43 Reliable source from inside says Watford are in advanced talks with Claude Davis (Centre Back, Palace, Free), Gavin Mahon (monthly contract - i'm surprised too) and Kevin Philips (Birmingham, Free).
If the first rumour is correct, then that is spot on!! For the 2nd one, Mahon won't be on a great deal and if it's month-to-month, then does no harm! Phillips I think most of us are hopeful and seems reasonable to expect it could/will be done. Don;t really know too much about Davis... big strong defender in the ****tu mould?? Good squad player then...
Helguson has signed a 1-year contract, so gets another crack at the prem (so therefore not part of any deal QPR might come up with for DG). http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2372565,00.html
Haven't seen it posted anywhere... although it probably has and I'm just being slow... But the Mirror is reporting QPR have upped their bid too; http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...ers-match-Swans-3-5m-offer-article744950.html
http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2372831,00.html? Officially no approach for Malky...
