Britt signs until next summer; http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130111-assombalonga-new-contract-592144.aspx
Let him go or offer a new contract, that is the question. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10158620.Watford_confirm_interest_in_Yeates/
Ipswich Town or Bristol City? really, would he want to go there...However, would get a signing on fee as he will be out of contract. A highly imporved player this season, hope we can keep hold of him and that his agent isn't a money motivated jerk.
I think he has improved, but he still doesn't convince me that he is up to the standard of other players we have available. If he gets a good offer and the club can get a bit of money in for him, on balance I would let him go.
Am I naive in thinking that it'd be better to stay and fight for promotion? I guess £$ moves too many minds nowdays.
If I were him I'd let the contract expire and see where we are in the summer. We could go up and give him wages that no other team would offer. Alternatively we could go up and not want him, in which case he would probably still get a better contract than whatever is on the table now. We could stay in the Championship and offer him similar money to the likes of Ipswich and Brizzle, or we could stay here and tell him he's free to leave. Even in that worst case scenario, I'm sure he'll find a Championship club.
