I've got no problem with Zola being a manager somewhere down the line. He strikes me as having a far better grasp of how mid-level professional football works than Vialli. My problem would be with parachuting Zola in before giving Dyche a chance under the new regime.
Kusczcak has gone to Brighton...bugger! i didn't think he'd pick another championship club over us, gotta say, i'm surprised and disappointed...though perhaps we weren't offering him a contract! lol
Is there anyone in place to offer a contract at the moment? I assume all transfer activity is on hold until the new owners are in, so they can identify their own transfer targets - hopefully after discussion with SD!
I cannot see anything happening in any direction until this has been sorted. If Baz has made it complex it could take a while.
Kind of in the mindset that if McGinn wants to go, let him... his heart is obviously not in Watford if he would jump ship at the first opportunity! But I'd like to actually think he is just waiting to see what happens before he signs up! Maybe he is waiting on who his manager will be once/if the takeover goes through! Just hope they can sort it pretty quickly so we can start looking at things like this, and other players whose contracts are also out on July 1st, whio we can bring in
Tomasz Kuszczak signing a contract with Brighton and Hove Albion is good for them. If the Pozzo deal had been made two weeks ago he may have come to us, but Brighton team have a lot of money now and we might be broke again.
A fair few then, maybe this could be one useful loan. Let's face it we use loans a fair bit throughout the season normally so this deal could also help with that. Just give SD the chance he deserves !!
http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2818941,00.html I know the club need some sponsorship, and I have no idea how big this company is, but the Happy Egg Co. After Iveco, Toshiba, and some of the other go ahead international companies this has the whiff of desperation. Nice new shirt , bad sponsor's logo.
Doesn't sound like a huge deal, but probably better with Baz out or it could have been the Bad Egg Co.
This is probably the first time we have ever been sponsored by someone whose product I would seriously consider buying (not counting Burrda, who sponsored and produced kits for two years). Love the irony, given the valid but grossly oversimplified fears of becoming a nursery club.
Im gutted with the chioce of sponser, its going to make the shirts look tacky and very uncool. I wont be buying one unless they offer the shirts with out the sponser on it. And whats with the special barcode on the shirt you can scan with a mobile phone to get you to their website, who on earth would want to do that?!
