Stranger things have happened, but if I were to bet on it I'd say he'll stay. Unless we have attempted to impose a pay cut, we would be entitled to compensation if he leaves. I suspect we have offered him the same money on a one year deal, with one or both parties holding appearance based options of triggering an extension on improved money.
Is now one month since our season finished and still the BBCs last Watford news is a match report from the game with Middlesbrough. Are we that ignored they did not report on Martin Taylor signing a new contract.
The WO understands that Watford FC have received an enquiry from Reading re: Aidy Mariappa... it begins...
last friendly game in pre season aug 11 away to shrewsbury....... Does this mean we have landed James Collins?
I see it has taken Brendan 10 days to change his mind from not being interested in Liverpool to going to talk with Fenway. He must be mellowing. Was it three days from pledging his loyalty to Watford to then talking with Reading?
We are the least reported team in the league now. Our rival Millwall have bought a player and we are on our own. Even the BBC has more interest in Division 2. Why do they dislike Watford so much, there must be a reason?
You wanted news Mark, well here it is and it is BIG NEWS. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2792508,00.html
Looks as if it is nearly back to last season now. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2793757,00.html
The WO twitter page says Bassini is in talks with the bank to clear debts etc. BTW Good luck to GT..a legend forever.
Also, it would appear that Troy Deeney's Father has passed away . He posted this on twitter a short while ago
Chris Manic Mundy ‏@Manic_Mundy @affers1178 just spoken with member of #WafordFC staff. Wages were NOT paid on Monday but have now been paid with no apology from owner
If all of that happens then that's great. I doubt we'd be as debt free as it lets on....I'm going to assume that we would simply owe Bas the money, not the others. That in itself is an improvement, as Watford's finances and the club mean more to Baz than to those no longer associated with the club. I'm just worried that with all this spending....where does Baz expect to get back his money? The only way that we make money is by selling players.....and the balance of keeping that up whilst staying competitive is tricky to master.
I bet that Watford didn't want this to happen and feel much happier now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18285716
S I noticed that the report said only 2 teams in league 1 supported the idea of an artificial pitch. Wonder if one of them was MK Dons?
