Bit surprised about Gardner. Although Eddie Oshodi gave him some really mature advice: "Keep your head held high and show Watford what they'll be missing."

I think its because we have some good talent attacking wise in the Under 16s.

No surprise to see a left back getting his contract though!

Not sure about the Forbes guy...gets caught on the ball a fair bit in midfield.

Who knows though...I think back to Sordell/Liam Henderson.

The latter scored loads for the Under 18s but is now a sub in non-league football whilst Marvin is well..a sub in the Premiership and played for England!

Be interesting to see if Connor Smith plays as he worked well with Murray at Youth level.

Oddly, they found out last Thursday, but the three that were let go played against Birmingham at the weekend and played really well. I think it's strange that although they'd been told their contract wasn't going to be forthcoming, they were put in the development squad.

Not really we always try to showcase kids that we havent given a contract to ,to other clubs:) were nice like that ,we actively try to help them rather than just discard them like some clubs!

Was also surprised about Gardner , that decision could return to haunt us. He did get a lot of good reports too

Yep there was an article in a colchester rag a couple of days back ,saying he missed saturdays game coz they didnt want to injure him before he came back to the Vic !
I think he will get some action in one or two of the games remaining!

Well its untrue! He was in the stadium. I know this as i have his autograph from after the match. As for the bust up, i cannot confirm or deny this. He did seem to be in a hurry and a bit of a bad mood though so it is possible.

Gotta say I dont think Dyche will lose many bust ups ! Yeates v Dyche only one winner and Mr Yeates will prob be moving on!

I concur, but he seems to be more of the latter recently. He needs a serious kick up the arse!! Maybe a bust up with Dyche and the threat of release acting as the sword of Damocles might help.

The rumour I heard is that he had an argument with Dyche and left the stadium. I tend to believe that, because on current form he probably could have expected to play over Britt and Whichelow, and as far as I'm aware he doesn't live inside the stadium.

But there's a big difference between an open manager-player disagreement (which I expect to happen occasionally with every player), and chinning someone or saying something from which the relationship cannot recover. If Yeates had done either of those things he would already have been suspended, and we would know about it that way.

agreed garner has had a fair few chances ,but never quite made the place his own ,use the remaining games to feed in Gavin ,Britt and others and give them more experience ,cant hurt for next season!
Will be interesting to see who we offload and aquire in the summer

I did see Yeates walking back to his car before the game but that might have been just to put his kit-bag back.

BTW Dyche is on the Late Kick-off show tonight on BBC.
