I think that is a good thing, hopefully everyone will see the Golden Boys get another 3 points towards the Play-offs
Friendly: Watford 3-2 Birmingham http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2730934,00.html Great to see Stephen McGinn got 90mins, his first since his injury. It also says he has now successfully recovered. So when will we be seeing him on the bench or around the team.
Good result too considering that we apparently only had ten players in the team. Interesting centre back pairing again - Forsyth and Bennett - SD must be keen on CF there as he's perservering with him. Wonder what's happened to Tom James?
TJ is still about. He is at all games, suited and booted. I can ask him if he thinks he might get some game time soon if you like.
Please do - his one and only cameo appearance this season produced some favourable comments and I did think that we'd see more of him this season. And whilst you're at it, ask Lee Hodson too!
Ignoring the international bit, Hodson's career is following a similar path to Doyley's. Lloyd always seemed to play loads of games, but it was literally years before you could say he was first choice. (and the year he was, we got promoted )
Dyche unsure of McGinn return date. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...Ginn_will_make_first_team_return_this_season/
Give him 20 minutes in the Middlesbrough match. He might be a talisman like Heiðar when he returned against Leicester City.
I did comment on the article saying that he should get a 5min cameo. It would be very special for him
Pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood confirmed http://watford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=279300
There's a surprise then Wonder if we'll get a decent away friendly this year - somewhere like Tuscany or The Algarve - where the missus may be tempted to (let me) go.
Does anything to do with the pitch or stadium count as news anymore? It's more of a default statement.
Because if he were in town he would have given us definitive answers to those questions? Perhaps of more significance is the question of whether the hosepipe ban will affect us. As things stand, pitches used for national or international competition are exempt from the ban. My guess is that at some stage this will be extended further to only international ones, so to be on the safe side we should invite Gabon to play a pre-tournament friendly against us at the Vic in late July. Alternatively, if we were to flout the ban, what would the consequences be? A fine which adds a few percentage points to the cost of relaying the pitch?
