http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/ri...sterfield-watford-and-facing-tottenham-fa-cup Sean Dyche on TalkSport (i haven't listened yet so can't comment but he starts off talking about Mapps)
lol no, not at all, i didn't think the camera was on at the bit, they filmed loads of us standing with him and just chatting with him, with the camera right next to us, that bit that they showed was right at the end when we were all ready to go home! lol
Another of our youngsters returns. If they can't make it in the lower leagues does that suggest that they are not ready to play for us? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9491560.Mingoia_back_at_Watford/
i liked Mingoia but he's tiny, and quite weak, easily pushed..i'm guessing that's exactly what it means M Frenchie..
Probably, but does it work the other way. If they are clearly too good for their current league then they move up a league till they meet us again??
No offers yet for Marvin and Aidy expected to be available for tomorrow. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9493237.Dyche_expects_Mariappa_to_face_Spurs/
I think you're right. Worse still, I stand by my prediction that we'll definitely stay up with Mariappa, but should be very nervous about the next 19 league games if he goes. Even worse than that, I stand by the opinion that Mariappa won't go for a significant amount of money more than we'll get in the summer that would justify the risk to our league position. Worrying times
To be the devils spokesman we would be in a bad position if AM was injured. So is it better to have no AM or no AM and a lot of money?
If I were to guess, my position in the WPL shows that I am not that good, I would say that Mariappa will play tomorrow and be gone over the weekend. As he has to be one of the first names on the team sheet I think he will be badly missed. It is interesting though that quite a few comments from the north east only see him as a bench warmer unless there are injuries that need to have cover. The feeling up there from the few that have seen him play is that he is too small and his passing out of defence is not that good.
I personally think he would get a game in the majority of the middle to lower PL clubs, at Newcastle he may well be a 'bench warmer' but him going could break our fragile season. I value him very highly and I hope he stays till the summer, he may go at a lower price in the summer but if that is the difference between us staying up or L1 football, I know which I would rather have. WRT to his passing ability obviously they have not studied him for very long! So if he goes who gets player of the season? NN?
For me Hogg would be the front runner. Although I'd be tempted to vote for Mariappa to prove a point (and because if he stays I'll certainly do so).
I can see both of them staying. If you think, Newcastle have to come back with a vastly improved offer and there has to be the negotiations. That can take a week at least. They only have 4 days to do that, unless they work sunday too. I think both are safe for now. I just hope Mapps can sign a 1/2yr extension to protect us.
I did wonder out loud earlier today if Frank Smith had been told to get his word count up. I see that he has now come up with yet another bit that tells us little. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9495994._Big_clubs_should_respect_sides_who_develop_players_/
Ah, that is a bit more like it Frank. Been on the phone and has a story. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9496237.No_second_bid_for_Mariappa/
Doesn't sound too promising regarding potential signings if Dyche's comments on the WO site are anything to go by..then again maybe Bas doesn't trust Sean to spend well!
