Lets hope he keeps focused and does not go off the boil or become distracted. We need him at his best, even if that means increased interest, at least it will raise his stock even more! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9478392.Sordell__flattered__by_interest/?ref=la
I think we all agree, but it seems that SD is unwilling to give them the chance to prove themselves. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...up_to_the_youngsters_to_break_into_the_team_/ I dont blame the kid, he has no chance here with Noz, Taylor and Mapps. Although i guess he would be covering for Mapps. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9478568.Bennett_keen_to_extend_Bees_loan/
i feel for Michael Bryan because he showed promise, but he never played well for us, and couldn't seem to up his game in over two seasons. I don't feel we've lost out with him.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9480989.Gilmartin_returns_while_Massey_leaves_on_loan/ Massey back out again on loan..
Lloyd Doyley said today that Marv isn't leaving Watford in the January window..he seemed quite adamant ) And it seems Marv has said as much himself http://t.co/AAzcBUVi (not sure this link will work but if not i'll try and get a better one!)
A good read this. Its good to see we are leading the way still. http://www.football-league.co.uk/fe...harefield-model-shows-the-way_2293307_2578569
The Under 18s are 2-0 down at Newcastle in the Youth cup. Not really on a good run of form since the guy came in.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7449958/ Newcastle in for Mariappa??? Think this is news and not a rumour?
Yes the WO appear to have the story now. Lifted from Sky perhaps? They are running a poll on what people think he is worth. To my mind he is a bit like an old car. On the open market there is one price, but if that is all you can afford then it is worth a great deal to you.
If Adrian Mariappa goes what have we got as reserve? Martin Taylor with his toe Michael Bryan on his way to Bournemouth. Could Watford fight off Newcastle United? With some money in the clubs pocket what would that balance dropping to the next level down? Lots of questions, I begin to sound like my mother she only asks questions. Are you well? Are you wrapped warm?
Unfortunately every player has his price. If the price is right we will have to let him go. According to Sky he has 18 months left on his contract. That means next season he will be in his last year and we could get a much lower price, if he decides not to sign. I hope that in the case we lose Mariappa it is not just a question of who we have in reserve, but he we are looking to bring in as a replacement.
This was my biggest fear, but the rumours were too strong to ignore. he'll be the biggest loss but we can't deny him premier league, can we?
With Taylor and his toe, Mirfin off to Scunny, Bennett at Bradford, what was suddenly a glut of CMs starts to look a bit thin! Thank god for Nozza! Still, it's an opportunity for Tommy Hoban to show his stuff.
I wouldn't really trust Dyche with any money he might get to spend from selling Mariappa so I'd say keep the guy with maybe a promise to sell in the summer (when we might really need the cash after relegation!)
Talk about glass half empty we are far from relegation fodder at the moment! If Mapps does go, he needs replacing I do not trust any of the kids to step in and fill Mapps's boots. IMO we need a creative midfielder and a striker to take the pressure off MS, he is too hit and miss and his partnership with TD is just not working. As well as that a winger who can cross the ball!
Have I missed something here? Has everyone forgotten about Adam Thompson, or is he injured? More than capable of stepping up I reckon.
