Dont where this idea has come from that just cause Forsyth is a left footer he can play LB , its a specialist position and the last couple of seasons they have been rare! Forsyth has yet to win me over couple of times I have seen him worried me! We have got better in house!
Not saying you're wrong about how good he is Norway. But the idea probably came from the fact that he started his career as a left back
I think we are judging Forsyth too early. Many many players take time to settle at new clubs. Cowie was indifferent his first half season, many people criticised McGinn and Buckley in their first year. He is a young lad who has moved home and up a standard and will need time to settle. I think the jury should be out rather than state he is not good enough.
i agree, i think he'll be fine, he just needs time. i think it was a shame he was dropped, but now with Kightly gone, he may be back in, hopefully on Saturday at least. These boys need a chance, after all, we bought them, they should be playing. I'm hoping to see both Forsyth and Murfin at some point, though of the two, Murfin worries me the most..
H smurf worries me too! Your saying give Brucie a chance , think we should be giving slight opprtunities elsewhere too , If theres any credence to certain rumours , we are willing to pay a million for a ryman league player, who failed at posh! WE already have enough players that are murdering non league standards! we also have a one or 2 squad members that would struggle in non league!!
They're getting opportunities elsewhere at the mo, Mr Broken Record. Rumours are just that Norway, we'll see if we get him or not...he might be the answer to our dreams or a damp squib, either way, we have to trust SD, and i completely do.
wouldnt have thought we would spend anything like that amount on a punt! Sean is learning quick ,I grant you ,lets see what happens in the window this month ,hopefully it wont be like the start of the season and lots of quantity ,but short on quality! I must confess to not enjoying this season as much as the last one (even with the abysmal second half of season showing!)
why am i not surprised! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/ne..._arrested_following_new_year_s_brawl/ref=twt/
Well, if the rumours of his impending return are true, he may add some much needed aggression to our somewhat lightweight attack. Hope they're not though - he was never really God's gift to goal scoring, which is what we currently need.
he would fit in with the rest of the team though, we are far more aggressive under SD than we have been in ages! But i agree, we can surely do better!
I think there is a psychological element there Norway as much as anything. Last season we started with the great win at Norwich and by now had the 6-1 at Millwall, and the great wins at QPR and at home to Cardiff. After 25 games last year we had 42 points (although then only got another 19 from the next 21 games!), whereas this year we started slowly, and only have 30 points after 25 games. However, we all know that there are small margins in football. I know it is ifs and buts, but if you look at the defensive cock-ups that cost us at home to Notts Forest, at home to Bristol City and at home to Cardiff - they cost us 5 more points. Add the last kick of the game goals at home to Leeds and away to Hull, they cost us 3 more points, and I have never seen such a one sided game as the one at home to Derby this season where I still cannot believe we lost, then our points tally would have been very similar. Very small margins! Yes there was a period last year when things looked very good, but lets be a bit more positive about this year, when we had lost Graham and Cowie and have been going through a transitional period as well.
Gotta say Goldentrue...you speak a lot of sense and seem to type my thoughts far better than i can! Barry, i wonder too...not clever!
