To be fair to Dasani (and I will be back on form before the end of this post), the perfect answer would be to say that in the long term the club needs to be making profits in the transfer market, but that if he believes we are not getting good deals, he will make sure that we are not forced to sell at rock bottom prices with a loan from his own pocket. Of course, he can't say that, because everyone knows that would be a lie. But what he should be doing is playing up the Saracens deal, the departures of Ellington and Sadler, the likelihood of money from Ashley Young, the £3.5m facility that was in place as part of the takeover. In reality, these things alone will not be enough to fund us for a year, as practically all of that money has been budgeted for. But there is enough there to give other clubs the impression that we can resist sub-par offers if that is the best that is on the table.
The problem with being a PR person is that you have to keep your own opinions very close to your chest. I'd probably be good at it in general, but I don't think I could do it for an organisation that I actually care about.
You surprise me Leo , its just that your views before have been so liberal! I cant see you shooting fluffy furry wildlife! The fox has just as much right on your land as you do!
I have been cast as the heavy handed one on this board, (would happily see a lot of humans dead) However killing an animal that cant shoot back is cowardly to the extreme.
i'll bet this isn't true! lol 28 May 2011 01:12:13 Jordan Mutch is being linked with a loan move to Leeds
At what point does dealing with problematic animals become acceptable Norway? Rats? Cockroaches? Mosquitos? Deadly Bacterium?
All getting a bit heavy on here! I must admit I object to the Hunt idea! If the vermin are causing a problem, shooting is the best option! Mind you if it is just target practise join the Forces and do it for real, plenty evil bar stewards in Afghan!
I did not say I could hit one But foxes have taken a number of our chickens so tell me whether the fox or the chickens have the greater rights ? I am totally opposed to fox hunting - it is not a "sport"
Unfortunately a sign post with "Get off my land" will not suffice to save your chickens from those darn pesky critters!
Without getting into a deep hole on this one, I must say that my views have changed since coming to live here. When you have a very large deer descend on your car in the dark, with you going along at 60 mph you wonder why the chasse didn't get that one. They look very graceful and harmless grazing in adjoining fields, but once they have found a way into your fields they can cause untold damage, undoing lots of hard work in one evening. The government effectively sponsor the chasse on road safety grounds, but also vermin control. Foxes are either shot or trapped, the later being far more cruel than hunted by men and women on horseback. When I lived in the UK we had three different hunts meeting at our village. Their success rate at catching foxes was hopeless and when you see two hundred chickens killed in one night for the fun of the fox you wished they did better.
