well I'm off to bed, old boy like me needs his sleep. Was just passing through, nice place to pass through though. Good luck tomorrow Frenchie, nice to see you survived the bikes today.
This is a very well coordinated operation. There is a man with the BBQ, industrial size, cooking sausages, spiced sausages and streaky bacon. There is another man in charge of the frites cooking, who disappears frequently to fetch fresh supplies of liquid (biere) to keep us going. At those moments I am entrusted with the hot oil as well as my duties to keep filling plastic tubs with the chips. Then we have several ladies who make ham or pate sandwiches. Mme managed to slice her finger and had the mayor giving first aid a couple of years ago. She hasn't been the same since. Then we have a rather sexy young lady who appears just as we start to flag a little, who helps out my coming round and kissing us at regular intervals. All of this goes on amidst lots of shouting of orders, and friends who pop by to see how you are coping. Tony is a God send as he keeps popping by with even more bottles of beer. He lives in a hamlet and was persuaded by his wife to leave England and come to live in France. Having got him here, she promptly found a French guy that she preferred, so up sticks and left him. He has however used his new found freedom to be to his advantage as he has a string of lady friends scattered around. Tony is just coming up for seventy.
It is lovely H. Almost worthwhile missing my trips to the Vic for. I suspect that there might be a very big difference between my rural spot and the outskirts of some of the big cities though. Same sort of difference between Moor Park and L*t*n except that there are a lot less people here than in either of those two places.
..almost...but i can imagine the hankering you have for home games. Ah..that's a huge difference! Though Moor Park isn't as quiet as it used to be...lots of people keep walking over the golf course...oops, i must stop doing that!
Seeing as I am now on a nostalgia trip, but my brain cells are decreasing daily, what is the name of the pub on Batchworth Heath. Was it the Olde Greene Man, I am no longer sure? Used to go there quite often in my youth, then walk home to Bushey, arriving at my front door quite sober.
yes! the Olde Greene Man it is! It's been taken over by a chain now, but it still looks the same from the outside I walked past it on all my training walks Crikey though, that's a long walk! lol
Apparently Sean Dyche wants Preston defender Craig Morgan according to the daily star. I looked at wiki to see his stats and someone obviously has edited it: Craig Morgan (born 16 June 1985 in St Asaph) is a Welsh international footballer who currently plays as a defender for Football League Championship side Preston North End.He is Currently the worst Defender Preston have ever had.
Have we narrowed the pitch? If we have 2 wingers why would we do that? Maybe it's to allow Big Chris to support the wide runners without moving to far away from the centre?
I reckon its because our final signing is going to be this guy: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...l-throw-using-special-flipping-technique.html Would be the final piece in Sean's back to the 80's football philosophy but he will need room for a decent run up.
