Just thought I would pass this on from the WML.

A Burnley blogger's thoughts on Big Chris...

Now onto Chris Iwelumo and you certainly won't get the big negative from me
that you will get from others. Brian Laws signed him last summer and he set
off like an express train in terms of goals, but only at home. A wonderful
hat trick in a 4-3 win against Preston (and we were 3-1 down with 7 minutes
to go) had him almost as a hero, but you know football fans, they are quick
    to turn.

He does look ungainly, he doesn't look the most mobile of players, but he
was scoring goals because we were getting the ball wide and getting good
crosses in. At one point he was the league's leading goalscorer.

The change of manager certainly didn't help him. Eddie Howe played a
different way and suddenly the opportunities weren't there. He was in and
out of the side but interestingly the results were better when he was in. He
scored only one goal for Howe and that, incredibly, away from home and of
course at Watford. It was his only Burnley goal away from Turf Moor.

It is best that he's gone because he didn't fit into Howe's football at all.
He's still not been replaced by the way but news is that could happen this
    week.

If you get the ball wide and get good crosses in then Big Chris will score
goals, no doubt about that for me. He could prove to be a very good signing
    for you

Well that sounds good!!! He fits the mould SD has been saying he is trying to set up. Last year we did struggle at home, so maybe if he averages 2 per game at the vic and 1 away then we should do very well!!!!

How many of us have heard of any medical staff before they join the club (or, in some cases, while they're at the club)?

Is it true MMis now lining up a move to take Laurence Bassini and the Hornet Shop stock to Cardiff before the weekend? I am sure the Welsh will not like changinging their blue for yellow and black.

I think he is in a similar position to what Graham was when we bought him from Carlise.
I wouldn't be surprised if we bid up to as much as 400k by I think we will wait and see what others offer first.

I think 250K from Sheff weds is different to 250K from us. We are a step above and may be able to pay there and then, where as the SW offer could be over time, and we could offer a bonus structure they might like.

If we wait to see making a bid on Adam LaFondre we will lose out, if he is the footballer that Sean Dyche wants. I do not think Sheffield Wednesday would be able to beat us, but Charlton Athletic managed, except that Rotherham is only a few kilometres from Sheffield so ALF would not require to move his house.

If his name was Fred Stubbs I don't think there would be so much interest.

Its a shame we wont see any of his penalty scoring abilities! We never get one and the AFC Wimbledon game sums that up.

Sheffield Wednesday will sign Adam le Fondre in the next few days, after an improved bid is set to be accepted by Rotherham, they will see off interest from Charlton, Watford and Coventry.

Why would he join a team in a lower division when both Watford & Coventry are in tha Championship. If you ever read what Adam has written he moves only to a higher division

Are Sheffield Wednesday not in a higher division than Rotherham then?
