I think we're looking really strong now...as you say, just a striker...and a couple of good loanees, and we're set! We're obviously going to play quite tough...though we needed the strength, we had a fair load of kids who can be easily pushed at the moment..this will really help, and really, can you see SD having a bunch of weaklings in his squad? lol...no, me neither!

 

Things are looking much more positive for us than we feared only a short while ago

 

SD is injecting some experience and Steel into the squad ,mix it with the nippy skillfull youngsters we have and it starts to sound promising!

Now we have a brand new left back, Lloyd Doyley is free to play upfront. Or at least that's what I assume SD has in mind.

Doyley could either play at RB which is his more natural position or he could be cover at LB. But i cant see SD dropping a fan fav like Doyley to the bench week in week out. My bet is on RB

 

I would imagine that Lee Hodson will be the one to lose his first team place unfortunately.

 

I would imagine he'll come on as a sub often...but we are suddenly well stocked at the back, it's great to have choices!

We are starting to get a bit of depth to the squad , good cover for injuries and suspensions For Right back dont forget Adam Thompson !
In the centre Tommie hoban, Forsyth can play lb as well , If it looks dodgy for someone , I would suggest Mapps has to up his game!

 

Only judging on his pre-season performance, because usually he's far more reliable...

Watford have signed Carl Dickinson from Stoke. That's 6 of the 7 promised permanent signings. Watford will also sign Adam Le Fondre on a permanent deal.

Unhappy Danial Pacheco could be turning out for Watford next season. King Kenny is keen for him to go out on loan and prove his worth.

I think I will have more personal days! My sister and my brother in law came for a visit yesterday, lovely day and evening. Whan I come back on the boards we have a LB, a proper LB Where will this end? COYH!! Where are all the doom merchants now, SD and LB and RW are delivering the goods, let's hope the players deliver on the pitch! Things are looking good, things are looking YELLOW
