Oh dear, and I thought I did quite well. Well done cologne, and many thanks.

 

Slipped up a bit this week but good week for CH has shaken things up!

As so often happens when the highest scorers are just outside the leadership placings the table looks a little different from last week. Highest scorers were Dave with 130 and Mark with 125, pushing them up into 2nd and 3rd respectively. Makes it all very close at the top. Chris was the 3rd highest scorer putting him up into 5th. No breakaway leaders as yet which makes it all very interesting with Christmas coming up. A reminder that only one joker is allowed per week - in the event of 2 being played I can only accept the first one on the list, regardless of how the results go.

One of the lowest scoring weeks I can remember for us, and exactly the right time to make hay, which NZHorn did with a great score of 165, taking him from 12th up to 5th. Elsewhere the second highest of the day, 103, was enough to leapfrog Dave into first place ahead of myself Most of us were really struggling for points, with many favourites such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal failing to win, Spurs overscoring and the Hornets also losing.

Not happy with my score because most of the points were from our defeat. The silver lining is somewhat tarnished.

 

13 points...it can only get better...right?

 

I still think we will finish 9th... or 10th

A very difficult week to predict with unexpected away wins for West Ham, Palace and Huddersfield Coupled with Arsenal and Chelsea only scoring one apiece - which only Seb actually predicted, giving him this week's highest score of 121, when most of us were struggling to get half of that. Seb now moves into 3rd, and the top of the table is looking very tight. Lawro still has a game in hand tomorrow night (Everton v Swansea 2-0) which I will update on here by tuesday.

Did a bit better then...but no change. Also predicted the Watford score correctly...just got the Huddersfield one wrong!

Thanks Cologne for organising this. After my surprising start I am gradually sliding down the table. Would be nice to finish the year in the top ten.

 

Unfortunately I have had to edit the league table following Everton's 3-1 win tonight. Lawro tipped 2-0 and so I have added 8 to his total.

Christmas Edition
​

Seb must believe it's Christmas It all shows how important it is to tip realistically on the Hornets. Our guest Canary is now on second and Mark has moved up into third. I am going through the Christmas wobbles and will be looking to strengthen the team in january. Elsewhere not many Christmas presents being thrown around, with Charlie doing well with the second highest score of 80. Just a reminder that our next round will be next weekend and not Boxing Day. A happy Christmas to all fellow Hornets (even the Brexiters and Tories), and of course to our Canary friend

An unusually low scoring week both on the pitch, and for most of us. No less than 5 goalless draws in our featured matches which made tipping very difficult. Seb leads us into the new year for the second year running, and Mark has taken over second spot. New Years fireworks by Theo with an incredible score of 182 - this was based on 4 perfect scores, 3 of them being unique - the games at Chelsea, Burton Albion and Bournemouth. Had Man. City been up for it the 200 mark could have been broken. Second highest score was Zen with 125. A few scores in the 50s and 60s, but a whole glut of us in the 20s. We now have a 2 week break to sack managers and the focus shifts to the FA. Cup Predictions league. Happy New Year to everyone - now the chores are done I'm off to celebrate

Cologne, a black cat did cross my path as I spotted a chimney sweep and trod in a dog turd last Friday but even so 182 is hard to believe. So much so that almost for the first time I tried to check my own score and arrived at 197! It's very possible I misread the rules so I apologise if I have.

Is this right; posting (10) + WBA (25+9) + Bournemouth (25 + 20 + 3) + Chelsea (25 + 20 + 3) + Liverpool (3) + Burton (25 + 20 + 9)? Again, sorry if I'm talking rubbish...it's all the excitement! I'll be back to 20/30 next time!

 

I think most of us will see the problem if you get the perfect score you get 25 and if you are the only one you get +20 you dont then get the points for home/away or draw
