Yes, not a problem - but on the understanding that you hand out free, autographed copies to regular posters on here. :)

Yes, but I'm not sure that they sell any book, let alone this one...

Not from here - the last train left here the same day we beat Gillingham 3-0 at home, and only went as far as Elgin.

Seems reasonable. Why would anyone want to go further than Elgin?

To watch Ross County play of course. Or maybe even the one time best supported club in the UK - Brora Rangers.

An apt thread. When WFC play at Britannia (Stoke) , now it's been moved to ~Sunday 1200pm , I can get there by train, if I arrive at Congleton by 0925 for the 15 minute journey. Price £6.10p If I wait, I can get a later train , it arrives ~Stoke 1114. Time to get the official bus. But goes vis Macc ( 10 miles in opposite direction) and costs £32 ! Ludicrous.
I think all TV people involved in moving games (especially to a Sunday) should travel at their own expense (hotels, trains ,buses taxis , everything) and be forbidden from using own transport. And they should carry all the equipment.
Several years ago we travelled from a small village above Lake Geneva , by bus, ( timed to arrive at small station perfectly) local treain, regional train crossing the border , TGV , Eurostar, short walk, and then Virgin , and finally Northern trains, to Congleton in one day. Got home about 7pm (having started at 7 am). At that time, it was impossible to travel to Scarborough and back in one day.

I have friends in Leek so Stoke or Port Vale away is usually a given. It was going to be a guarantee this year but given the current economic climate and a disputed ££££ water bill and unresolved "leak" plus the telly I don't think it will happen now. I like a beer on match day and I'm not going to travel on a Sunday for this.
I'm going to Rotherham United next weekend though, ABW. Already bought and paid for.

I've just realised that Brora is close to Golspie, where my father-in-law's family originate.

I could be related - that's where my mother's family came from. Her grandfather is a family legend - he spent more time in Golspie jail than he did anywhere else.

I’ll ask my sister, she probably knows, but in the meantime, does anyone know the significance of this rose on a house in Whippendell Road? I think it’s not unique, but I can’t remember what it is. We saw it yesterday on the walk from my sister’s and I forgot to ask.

    The old joke is:
"Does he have an alcohol problem?"
    "Yeah, he can't get enough."

I think his small problem was that he not only drank it but distilled and sold it.
