There isn't really a standout team in the league IMO. Rather there are 6 or 7 very good ones. SAFC are one of them. Bit of good luck and we could push for autos. Bit of bad luck and we could miss the top 6 altogether.

6 games in. Very early days. I’d still be surprised if we finished about Leeds, Sheff United and Burnley (who we played at the perfect time)

Sheff Utd are for me. Hamer , O’Hare , Moore are just going to dominate games. Then they have Ahmehodzic at the back who for me is the best defender in the league by some margin.

I fancy them to go on a bit of a run now, they’ve got a cracking squad at this level. 3 clean sheets in a row too.

Anyway, onto Watford and a chance for us to show we’ve got a cracking squad too.

I think that's more on paper than in performance thus far. They've been grinding out results for sure, but they aren't really flying. Either their results and pedigree is reality - and they go on to dominate - or their performances are reality and they prove themselves just another member of the pack.

I'd like to hope a different team, to us, can have a run of significant injuries.

I may be wrong but Luton seemed to be putting virtually the same team out all of their promotion season.

Sheff Utd have quite a few 'lumpy' players imo, hopefully they'll suffer a few knocks.

They scraped a win, as did Burnley, last weekend so aren't exactly flying.

Maybe, but 9 goals in 6 games thus far isn't exactly setting the world on fire. I think they'll definitely be in the mix, but not one to necessarily fear. Feels like the division is fairly open this year - any team that starts well and seizes that chance can do well. Let's hope we are one of them...

The issue is hamer is best in the role that o'hare is playing n has been moved out to LM. Hamer is different class n the team should be built around him rather than him being moved out of position

We have a good chance but just got to take it a game at a time

Ahmehodzic is good, def better as the RCB in a back 3 than he is as a CB in a back 4 tho

I think hes in the argument for best CB, I also think Mepham has a shout for that tho

Listened to the What The Falk podcast this morning and although he wasn't confident, the Watford fan thought it would be a good game and some of the team who played Man City in the league cup made their debuts and could be in line to start on Saturday. After being confident that we would beat Boro, I'm going back to a score draw and hoping that we win

This is my thinking too. We have the ability, we have the talent and we are very good at counter attacking, so why not? :)

Would love a win but a point isn't a disaster.

I dont think we have either tbh. I tend to think there is a lot more to come in an attacking sense. You can see the massive improvement off the ball under Le Bris and that brilliant discipline of the team. There is still quite a bit for him to do in possession for me, particularly in terms of the runs inside the box and decision making out wide.

Dont get me wrong, it has been a great start. Regis has gone about things in the right way after last season. Making us hard to play against was always essential. I think I would like to see if we can be more expansive at times with our play. We have the players. The goal against Boro was an example of that, carrying the ball, cross field pass, driving back inside and an effort. I think there is so muxh to come from us when we get it down and play out from the back, with patience, then add the acceleration to our game when the time is right. Squad is capable of playing 2 or 3 ways so exciting times ahead. For me we will be a much better side second half of the season.

I now work in Sheffield. Neither set of fans massively optimistic at this stage. Blades think they lack an ability to put games to bed and that might catch them. My lad was there last weekend with Derby and he said they werent great apart from Hamer. Wedneaday fans arent worried, but dont think they are going forward either.

On paper Sheff Utd look the part to me. I am a fan of their gaffer too. Their fans see them though and they are a bit wary at this stage.

Championship is a ridiculous division. The best imo. Still about 8 teams I could see top 2, and 14 play offs.

Cheers again RTB. I was hoping to get up to this one but the Mrs is going into town for a lunch with an old friend and goddaughter she hasn't seen for a year. I mean, the bloody cheek of it.

Anyway, wireless/sky will be on instead. Noted in your overview their weakest point is "defending against skillfull players". I just hope we travel well and our many skilful players are on their game to give them a run around and bag a few to get the win.

    Going for a 1-3 away win....or maybe a tighter 2-3
