I had a brief encounter with two young Spanish speaking lads when I was changing trains yesterday.

One had a Sunderland shirt on so I spoke to them but they didn't speak any English and I only had a minute with them.

I'd like to think our new players will attract more like this, especially when we're around London.

Definitely. We might get a Paris branch started when Michut gets going.
Like I said earlier, all this social media stuff is great publicity for us, even going back to the FIFA twitter account posting a video of us at Wembley.

We will certainly gain some support from the Costa Ricans over here.
    - I noticed someone had a CR flag in the crowd at Watford.

Was chatting to his dad - he'd literally flown in and gone to the ground with his luggage. Looked like a typical proud dad, but confused at the funny accents

It’s genuinely not beyond the realms of possibility that we are fending off big big bids for him in January. A goal in the World Cup and some dazzling displays and it’s the shop window.

We were the big fish in the League One pond and we probably are in the Championship too, opposition players and fans know this. If they didn't think this then why bother celebrating in front of our fans. It's a touch of jealousy and I love it :emoticon-0100-smile

Good point mate, they just embarrass themselves because they know we've embarrassed the home support.

Reading and Watford both had drums and the home support was dreaful ...

... no idea why some people think we should have one, I'd be horrified.

I saw something about the young lad who's allegedly been chased by n***. he's a mag fan and all his family are according to the rumours. Money will ultimately win the day but his development may suffer. He'd be better off here for the sake of his career but that won't come into it at all.

Interning to see what Mowbray does for Preston. Cirkin and Simms will be back, will he change to a back 4 to get Cirkin back in or keep a 3 and drop Alese? Will Simms come straight back in up top? Great to have all these options tbh, I doubt Preston will have a clue either.

It's intriguing, all of a sudden, thanks to clever aquisitions.

We can literally alter the entire system with only a few changes.

Once we have Stewart, Huggins, Bullard, etc, back in contention we'll be able to switch from a back three to a four, no one up front to two or a player in the pocket behind a lone striker. As you say the opposition manager won't really know what tactics to practice through the week. Mowbray is sly enough to spring surprises and we can change systems twice in a game if we need two.

As you say it's all interesting and exciting if you're us.

If these lads really take off, we could be playing Amad, Benette and Michut behind LND and end up saying Patrick who......<laugh>

    Great options either way though.

It just shows that, if you have a good first touch, confidence and the ability to strike a ball you don't always need Championship experience, high physicality and height. I would say, though, the lack of Stewart/Simms defending set pieces stood out yesterday especially for their second goal.

It also means we have to rethink our corners imo.
