Much as I find Coldplay totally lacking in creadibility; You could do a cover of "Yellow" with a Ibiza style backing at 120bpm and a sample of the drum roll from Z cars at the beggining. As long as the club played it every game, funding it would be OK as PPL (thats the income record companies get for public performance) and download sales to fans should be enough to cover the minimal studio time required. Who do you get to sing it (assuming you couldn't get SEJ)? Jay Demerit anyone?

Ibiza style backing and sampling a tune sounds like a job for Cally.

As for the singer, as they were both born in Watford, maybe George Michael or Geri Halliwell. On second thoughts, maybe not.

Whatever Geri Halliwell is, she is not a singer!

Thinking about it the perfect person for this would be Michael "Jakko" Jakszyk (ex Level 42 & The 64 Spoons). A life long Hornet & has his own studio in Berkhamsted.
