They can say that he realised that: a) the suicidal passing at the back was not working b) possession without an end product meant nothing c) his best goalkeeper (by a country mile) should be on the pitch, not on the bench They can also say ‘We told you so!’
Swansea City boss Russell Martin has been nominated for the EFL Championship Manager of the Month award for September
Swans usually do mess up when you start to get excited and expectations rise! Do we always lose game after Manager of the month award?
It must be a constant source of relief for the Club's Owners to realise there are SO many managerial contenders hereabouts.
… or a huge concern that the guy that they are paying a considerable sum of money to, either wouldn’t or couldn’t see it, whilst so many others could ….
Yet that " guy " is employed as the Manager, whilst many 'not' posters can only manage to insult him, and demand he gets the " sack ". I wonder if his detractors ever suffered similar behaviour against them whilst in their workplace.
Swansea City have lodged a complaint against Watford amid claims that one of their players spat at Ryan Manning during the Championship clash between the sides on Wednesday night. In the final stages of the match, the Hornets appealed in vain for a penalty, and the match officials held lengthy talks in a bid to discuss the incident - which occurred in Swansea's penalty area. And the Swans claim that Imran Louza spat at Irishman Manning in the closing stages of the contest.
If he did spit at an opposition player, then a lengthy suspension should follow. Disgusting behaviour. Mind you, most football playing surfaces are awash with spit. But that's marginally more acceptable than aiming it at a person, I guess.
