I've had my same seat since 2006 and never have we had £50 games! AA has raised our passes 30% and I've got four so I'm certainly not greedy! I took my kids to lokeren for f'cks sake! But my view is if you're paying up front you shouldn't have someone who hasn't bothered buying a pass walking up to a game and paying less then what you paid! I don't give a f,ck if they charge them the same but it shouldn't be less? I'm not bothered about man city!
Who exactly has paid less than you've paid? If you have season pass it is literally impossible for someone paying on the day to get a cheaper price than you. You're not making any sense at all. Plus if you have four passes then I'd say that was indeed greedy, you only need one for entry. Do you put your program and flask on the others?
Program's have the half time draw in now so yeah I buy one! And actually my wife has taken a flask on a cold night! So yeah maybe!
How the f**k are you being ripped off? You bought a ticket for the advertised price. BTW, you can now apply for tickets for Liverpool away. You get preference. Maybe non passholders should claim Allam's being unfair on people without season passes who will be paying more than you to watch us play Liverpool at home. When you buy something and the price is reduced later do you storm round to the shop complaining you have been ripped off?
Let me make my point one more time! Because they've overpriced cat A games doesn't make my pass cheap! Having some games at one price and others at another price doesn't wash with me! If my old man was still here he'd be pissing himself that it's £50 to watch some hull city games! I pay because I'm a fan but I still its way over priced!
What you're clearly failing to grasp is when a non season pass holder buys a ticket for a:- Cat A game........... your unit cost is cheaper Cat B game............your unit cost is cheaper Cat C game ...........your unit cost is cheaper Geddit?
have you worked out every game for a non pass holder compared to your pass price? surely thays the logical thing? then you'd see it you have been 'ripped off' i actually don't like the games against the 'big teams'
This. I've already said it, it was ignored, I'll say it again. You don't pay your total pass price divided by 19 for each game, that's not how it works. I can't remember the pass prices and can't remember if they broke the price down, so these figures are made up as an example: 6 Cat A games / £50 for match day tickets / £40 each in a season pass 7 Cat B games / £35 match day tickets / £28 in a season pass 6 Cat C games / £16 match day tickets / £10 in a season pass If your overall season pass cost, let's say £570, you're not paying £30 each game, that's the wrong way of looking at it. Also season tickets HAVE to work out at a lower cost over the season. The club cannot make deals/cut prices on tickets if it brings the overall cheapest cost of match day tickets equal to or below season tickets. You are paying less for every single game, and gaining lots of privileges as well. Keep your knickers on.
I To put it another way: If the season ticket offers a 20% discount over buying individual tickets, people who bought a season ticket are paying 20% less per game regardless of price. Using your figures Mr Hat: (6x50)+(7x35)+(6x16)= 641 So buying each ticket individually would cost £641 Season ticket holder get a 20% discount 641x0.8 =£ 512.80 You could apply that discount per game eg, (50x0.8 x6)+(35x0.8x7)+(16x0.8x6) =£512.80 And you get the same answer. Whichever way you look at it, season ticket holder pay less per game.
Going on Captain Caveman maths I pay £12.83 for a Cat C, £28.07 for a Cat B and £40.10 for a Cat A. It works out a saving of 19.8% on match day prices.
Cheers for that. Quick bit of *** packet maths, buying a season ticket is effectively paying full price for cat a and cat b games, but getting all the cat c games for free.
I may think he could do more to keep prices low, especially given the economic situation in Hull, but I buy my season ticket to help pay the players wages and support the club. It may not be much compared to their salaries but its my bit. This season has been a bit of a struggle getting the money, yes, but do we want a successful team? If he dropped the name change I'd start buying other stuff again, like a programme.
