Family commitment this Saturday. I cannot recommend anywhere in Wolverhampton for a pint, the pubs and beer can be good but it is Wolverhampton. Had I gone then a pub crawl around Brum city centre would be the order of the day and the metro up to the town in time for the match and a quick getaway back to the relative civility that is Birmingham.
I have a hotel room already booked for the Derby match and Millwall is an annual pilgrimage- and a terrific pub crawl around Borough Market.

There are some nice places in South Staffs near Wolverhampton, and if you want some nice countryside go to Cannock Chase.

Can't remember exactly where it is but we stopped off once in a crooked pub where everything inside was designed as an optical illusion. A very bizarre experience after a couple of pints. Having looked it up, it's called The Crooked House. Address below:

The Crooked House, Coppice Mill, Off the Himley Road, Himley South Staffordshire, DY3 4DA

We are going up on the train to Wolves - apparently there is a good pub near the station called The Great Western, will be giving that a try straight from the train.
For Millwall, it will be Borough Market before and after. Will be The Market Porter and the little pub next to it.

That'll be The Rake.
