I didn't take fossil record and evolution, in your initial post I responded to as necessarily inter linked. I said one was incomplete and the other raises more questions than it answers (words to that effect)

And like I said I would argue it, and so do some christians

 

On a side note animals, mammals etc are still evolving and have for centuries which proves to me it is an ongoing process on this planet.

 

My issue with the evolution of man which I did at college was that surely evolution is an ongoing thing. So if we evolved from apes why isn’t there something half way between an ape and a human. Other than Haig obvs.

As to religion I’m not atheist I would consider myself agnostic.

 

Well yes it is all religion, from day one in the bible it's all about God/ Jesus and his alleged moral code. Basically a tool to control the masses under pain of death if you don't believe.

 

There are "degrees" of evolution though. Most explained imo.

New fields, can't remember the name, counter evolutionary theory based on things like the chicken study where they took chickens and Messed with the time and the next generation couldn't feed itself or summat (I know vague )

Well no it's not all Bible for say me, being Muslim etc. But even Christian folk will tell you "in his own image" doesn't mean what some have taken it to mean.

Pain of death isn't the issue either, as death is a certainty.

You do raise an interesting issue though. That is that the "purveyors of religion" are be oming the destruction if religion because of their nonsense.

What I mean is that back in the day religion was the force for education. So mosques churches synagogues were where reading writing etc took place. They were the universities of yesteryear. (In my own words and simplistic)

Today in the Islamic world if you have kids and one has a disability you make him an imam, as it's a living. In Christianity it's a "calling" . In all it's a quick course and away you go.

These people then stand up and get questioned and instead if saying "I don't know" come out with "it's Haram" or "course it was 6 days, the Bible says so". Not having the skills or education basically
