The fossil record?? I don't think that being incomplete is up for debate is it? As far as I know paleontologists (begrudgingly I admit) and scientists accept this

The fossil record being incomplete i.e. not every plant of animal lifeform being preserved in a fossilised state, is due to the conditions that creating a fossil requires in the main. It’s being constantly added to though. However I don’t understand how this somehow supposed to cast a serious aspersion on the theory of evolution?

Excuse me for interjecting here but there are only two choices. If you don't believe in the indoctrination of religious beliefs then creationism has to surely be the only alternative.
