i thought our central mids were not effective in bossing the game. dorman had a great game defensively and didnt really see too much of norburn. if we played against better opposition, we would of lost as our weak spot was central mid. then again, our 2 central mids havent played much together and both loan players. be nice to give them a chance to gel but no doubt there will be changes on saturday to accomodate stanley back into starting 11 so we have no consistany in midfield!
I thought our midfield done well better then normal anyway's, zebroski I thought had a good match whet on a few runs with the ball, matty harrold was very quite and at time it was like he wasn't playing, bevan made some fantastic saves. The most positive from the game for me was having 5 different players scoring goals and we weren't affraid to shoot.
5 different scorers and none of them were from our front 2! dorman was good today defensively but when we needed control from someone in the central midfield, we didnt have that. we didnt need it either today but against better opposition whi will have have someone central who control games, we will struggle.
no he would but that area been weak all season so far. we usually do well when we have a scoring midfielder, lines, hughes and disley to name a few. none of our cm's have scored any yet! they dont protect the defence enough and dont support the attack enough and never have control in the middle of the park, no matter who we play. but dorman impressed me today defensively so i hope he plays next week as we have a inform swindle side who will most likely dominate the midfield.
