Well said Norway, exactly as I saw things, and in fairness to Dai, he sees it the same too, really can't understand Jager though!...
Why ? I give you my thoughts on the game, do I really have to conform to your way of thinking Phil ? I saw things in a slightly different way and I'm sticking to it
Where have I said, I'm not looking at the complete game? like I said to you some comments back, best we agree to disagree, as your view is not one I share on todays game, no way did we deserve a win today, and to think like that is deluded in my view!................
Not at all Jager, but then it's not about thinking, but more about seeing! So if you ever want to borrow my specs, just ask!....
Bad finishing in the first 15 minutes cost us a 5-0 lead. When you are only 1-0 up when deep down you know you should be 5-0 up makes everybody (players and fans) anxious and jittery. I said to the guy next to me we will regret missing so many chances and Villa will win 1-2. I didn't want to believe it but it nearly happened. One of the most frustrating games I have ever seen but the relief when Graham made it 2-2 was immense. We've all seen or played games in which the dominant team fails to take its chances and loses. I think there was plenty of desire to put the score right but long balls into the box didn't really work and playing through them with time running out gets the crowd more agitated than it already was. Horrible game to watch. Hopefully we won't have to endure more like that this season.
We didn't take our chances and therefore we did not deserve to win. I don't see how anyone could see it any other way
The way we played we actually deserved to lose sterio......Im glad we got a point (just) but after the way we never took advantage of their poor form and our home advantage then we could not have complained if we never got that last grasp goal to save our blushes....to me it feels like a defeat after we ground to a halt after 20 minutes where we should have been at least 3 if not 4-0 up...Im very disappointed with the way the players let villa in...
Still maintain that we should have won this game, and laudrup agreed on the interview afterwards. a penalty call with a wrong decision by the ref, stone wall !
Wouldn't say we deserved to win but we didn't deserve to loose either as some says. Just because the second goal was scored in deep injury time doesn't mean it's worth less. We deserved the point we got but I still think we were the better team even with a horrendous second half.
Yes we should have won, and by the run of play we deserved to have scored more than 1 goal in the first half, and to have had a penalty that clearly shows the villa player to have his foot on the line. The ref was poor on that, I'm not blaming him and using him as a scapegoat but the linesman would have seen that as he was there to. At the end of the day we got 6 out of 12 points over the Christmas period, if we continue that we'll end up with 54 points at the end of the season, how many points did you say that we'll end up with dai ?
True, and with only 5 points to 5. place. Not bad at all with so many new players etc. Today's poor half was probably just a result of a hard program both psychically and mentally. It was a bad second half but nothing to be alarmed about in the big picture.
So do you think our performance at Fulham was better than todays ? We barely deserved a point at Fulham but took all 3. Today we were by far the better team and if Michu's shots had been an inch inside the post we would have had 3 goals. Yes we didn't take all our chances but Villa didn't create much at all. Poor from Vorm for their first goal and a penalty was about it. Doesn't matter if people think that we didn't play well - but we did play better than Villa. I'm sure their fans are happier about the draw than we are - and that's because they know they didn't derserve it.
Jager still at it, like a dog with a bone, give over will you Rodney! Been down the pub, most Jacks thought we didn't deserve to win........................
well summed up there Aswan, i was in the pub earlier with my mates and we were talking about a "typical swans performance" which is the one we normally see when everything points to an easy win!! we got that yesterday, we got that inept showing we ALWAYS get against the struggling teams, its been happening as far back as i can remember and shows no signs of changing. The general feeling was Villa have been so poor lately that a win for them always on the cards against the charity that is Swansea city ! what made so many people angry around me was that we forcast this performance and were gutted to witness it come true..again ! Laudrup is trying to change the mind set of the players but without much luck, the bonus win against Fulham meant that some thought they could relax against villa, that mind set is for losers not winners, this aint a league you can coast in.
