It’s certainly an achievement. Its like mumsnet in here I honestly thought everyone would kick off which is why I posted it.
I had this lovely lambswool Ralph Lauren cable knit sweater, in grey. Twas a 2018 autumnal purchase. That wasn't tumble dry or anything, so I hand washed it in cold water, gently wrung the water our, let it dry naturally and all that. ****ing thing still shrunk.
You lot must be washing these clothes too hot? Never shrunk a ****ing thing in a tumble dryer myself.
Unless you are a big family, not sure why everyone needs a tumble dryer. Especially with the amount of electricity they use and as Comm said shrinking your clothes. Take them straight out the washer and hang them up. Most homes have central heating these days, and if you have a utility room, even better. And IF you iron clothes (I prefer not to) it's part of the drying process anyway, especially with shirts.
Oh the mrs has shrank a few items that were meant to be in on a 30. Had a load of super dry polos and all must have been slammed in too hot and all shrank and went out of shape.
