Yeah maybes it was, but if hes not starting games for them and making a big impact from the bench, he could have still been doing that here for us instead of another team a league below us. The main aim is for him to keep that level of performance for over 90 minutes and being an impact sub for them will help develop him as a player still but the reason for the loan was for him to start every game and learn to play at a high intensity for a whole match which unfortunately he hasnt been doing.
He’s been playing regular games in a good team. Thats an absolute win as far as loans are concerned. He’ll either continue to develop and force his way into the team, or will he sold for a profit. Win Win
It's good that he's contributing but concerning that he can't nail down a first team spot there. It suggests that he's not ready at this moment in time to contribute meaningfully for us. Given that we'll be looking to improve again this summer and he might be one on his way out.
