The Guardian article referred to in that piece is well worth a read, and the closing paragraph quoted never fails to bring a tear to my eye, daft softie that I am!

Now there's a horse I'd have loved to see racing.'

I would suggest it is a fitting note to end the thread, with the conclusion "NO. Frankel was not over-rated"
