What do you care? You have loudly proclaimed that you don't vote, despise politicians and think the world is run by shadowy cabals intent on monitoring your internet activity. I think you've effectively ostracised yourself from civil society, your views are the definition of irrelevant, you obviously think that you live, wild and free, outside the rules the rest of try to abide by in order to get along as well as possible. These rules happily include the right to voice opinions through agreed processes. The people with an issue with Warren Farm, irritating as they are, are just exercising their rights. To deny them that right is to start down a very slippery slope indeed.

That definition is simplistic in the extreme, democracy is about the effective balancing of competing interests for the common good. That is not 'the rule of the majority' which is simply a form of totalitarianism. Where did you get it, Noddy's Big Book of Political Theory?

Then we need to change the rules, not attack the people who are using them.

I obviously agree we need to change the rules but there is nothing at all wrong with criticising those who abuse the system in its current form and refuse to see sense.

I was simply highlighting that it is easy to throw vague slightly clever sounding phrases around “like well that’s democracy” when in fact it isn’t and Flyer was right.

Democratically elected councillors decided the ground was in the interests of the community. In the face of high court ruling and numerous appeals a small bunch of NIMBY’s continue to moan with no foundation or logic in their argument

Whilst i agree that these people are a pain in the arris, they do have the right to have thier say in the same way I have the right to say adel is s**e, Flyer says Harry is crap etc....
they are all view in the minority, but that does not mean it cant be said.

Let them have there day and get dispatched again. Only then will we be able to say that the whole community was consulted and EVERYONES opinions were considered.
There can be no denying that after the whole local community was consulted, QPR will be given the go ahead.!

So what if it adds a couple of extra months. Be more time to get some extra Polish workers over wont it....<laugh>
