Lads, it could be worse. Look at the teams that came down this season. Man for man, they've got much more quality than us, plus they've got £14m in parachute payments each. Are they storming the league? Are they chuff! Why not? Gawd knows. So don't give me this quality bollocks. And don't give me the money bollocks either. It's a combination of a lot of things, and I personally think the main reason is that this league is almost entirely made up of 'spoiler' teams, that are more interested in stopping the opposition than winning a game. And I'd suggest that we're a prime example of such a team!

I completely disagree with that actually. He provided some quality balls into the box, you could see in some of the games where he lost the ball a few times by trying to beat his man but in almost all instances it was in a position of no threat to ourselves. I want to see wingers beating there man, he was also clearly unfit for at least a few games. You could see he had quality about him and wasn't producing the best he could but it was still better than what we had and it was still another player on our team that the opposition needed to keep quiet
And got at least 2 assists in his 6 appearances. Those are the 2 I can remember. I'm sure he got more. He was causing teams problems and drawing players out of position. Teams were doubling up on him and we looked more threatening in the middle with him in the side.
David Norris and Paul Green looked very, very dangerous with Thomas in the side. What he did brought the best out of our other players. If we had a winger of similar style playing at their best, we'd start turning teams over.
Spot on Marko, the central midfielders don't have a proper outlet any more, and a good winger can do wonders drawing defenders out of position. That was what made us so successful when we had Snodgrass, Gradel and Howson all in the side; when one of them was doubled up on it just left the other two free, we don't have anyone who can scare defenders like that.
I like Green tbh but there isn't 1 game I have walked away from elland road and thought we out passed them.
