NEIL WARNOCK continued his war of words with former QPR boss Mark Hughes last night.

After saying he hoped Hughes would follow him to Leeds and “destroy another team of mine” Warnock (right) hit out again at the man who replaced him at Loftus Road.

And he said Tony Fernandes was naive to appoint the former Wales boss.

“I meant to say dismantled but destroyed was obviously at the back of my mind,” said Warnock.

“I do feel a bit of bitterness towards Mark Hughes, I always will. Tony is a very clever man and his other businesses are superb but I think he would be the first to admit he trusted people too easily.”

Warnock added: “I was trying to get Alex in from Chelsea with Kia (Joorabchian, who represents Mark Hughes) and I have no doubt that there were a lot of conversations going off at that time.

“And all of a sudden Mark’s name is in the hat.

“That is what was disappointing to me.”

Warnock does not let things go. he would not shake rafas benitez hand this season cos 6 years ago rafa played a weakened team and sheff utd went down, this has mileage to run if history is to go by, I do like warnock he will be missed when he retires, very entertaining and passionate

Put a sock in it Neil, please.

I am not in the humour of listening.

There is more than one person responsible for the position we are in.

Lets work out how we can sort the mess out rather than worry about who caused the mess.

I quite like Warnock.......although I probably dislike him in equal measure if that makes sense.
However, he really does act like a big kid at times.

Any respect any R fan had with Warnock should have disappeared the moment he signed El Diouf.

Yes he remembers certain things for ever, but other things are forgotten (diouf), cannot forgive Colin for that!!!!

I think he is implying that Kia, was working behind his back to get Sparky in....that I do believe
Kia and Sparky a deadly duo!

I just hope Harry, for all his past history, does feel a sense of responsibility to us

lets face neil thinks he could have kept us up. he did not get the chance. they bought in mark because they thought he was a better manager turns out they got it wrong. if neil wants to say i told you so, good for him. i would

It's almost as boring as Tony Blair saying he would have won the general election (that Brown lost) had he still been leader of the Labour Party.

Warnock should remember that he saddled us with the walking soap opera that is Joey Barton. Much still to come out about his unsettling influence behind the scenes I am sure.

I agree with this. And El Diouf was a great signing for Leeds - he's a good player.

As an avid defender of NW, I'm not even convinced that he signed Diouf. If Bates was fully involved in the deal, I wouldn't be shocked. And under contract, managers can't turn around and say, "the chairman did it behind my back", as Sousa found out at QPR. Just a theory, but wouldn't surprise me.
