With Traore or Taiwo in midfield he's 2nd choice. But perhaps you are right with an immediate recall clause, though I think Taiwo will have to show immediate improvement defensively.
No hes not, if one of them gets injured, the other goes to LB and we have Taarabt at LM which is where hes best. Would you rather have Hill and Traore/Taiwo at LM or Traore/Taiwo with Taarabt at LM?
I want Adel anywhere in midfield, but as for me Traore is the best crosser of the ball from the bi -line that we have I'd prefer to hold the LM place for him and play Adel RM or CM. If Traore is injured then I'd have Taiwo at LM as he looks to be the 2nd best crosser of a ball from the bi-line that we have! SWP or Mackie have not been giving enough good crosses, so we need them from the left from one at least of these 2. As I said if Taiwo doesn't improve defensively, we may see Hill start at LB, particularly if we need to be more solid than quick against some opposition.
SWP has put in good crosses because hes hardly playing on the right and is useless on the left. Hill is just too slow and like Connolly was, is just a penalty waiting to happen. Can you name a player he will come up against whos slower than him at right wing?
No Flyer I can't! But in the games he's played this season I don't remember him getting exposed. His positioning is good and he's solid and good in the air, and gives 100%. I would have Taiwo at LB for now at least but have Clint available as back-up.
Neil is the best manager for the Championship, fact. So couldn't agree more with you there. We won't go down, I'm very confident we'll stay up. But if we did, with the players we have Ian Holloway would steamroll the Championship with our squad and owners. I'll reserve my judgement untill they return from Portugal and played both Fulham and Everton, if no progress is shown in those games we might as well book our tickets to Barnsley and Derby away next season.
Agree Oslo he still is the best LB we have Traore can't tackle but is good going forward and Taiwo well the jury is definately still out on him.
Have you just come back from a trip from the "coffee" shop? Hill the best LB? wow. Please dont tell me Derry is the best midfielder and Bothroyd is our best forward.
Im quite surprised by peoples opinions of hill. in my opinion he is very very lucky to find himself in a premier league team. i think he did a great job in the championship but that's about his standard. taiwo will come good i have every faith in him to adapt to the premiership.
Hill has done a solid job for us in he Premiership, won't hear a bad word said against him. Is Taiwo much of an improvement, not so far.
Good luck to Warnock, let's hope he doesn't take them up this season at our expense! I reckon Derry and Hill may be on loan before much longer...
Someone whos got 2 assists in 3 games and who hasnt been at fault for a goal. Hes also hardly played all season and is adjusting to life in a new country with new team mates. Even then, hes still miles better than hill and will only get better. I dont see Derry leaving as hes 1 CM injury from being on the bench when everyone is fit.
But Norway. Haven't you learned anything yet from this forum? 1 Being a supporter means that as long as there are enough games to go, you have to maintain blind faith. There will still be eleven games to go. We could always win all eleven. Yeah right and sneak into Europe on the back of ten point deductions for 10 clubs that sit above us in the table. Remember, stating the obvious is classed as negativity on this forum and that is strictly forbidden. 2. "Neil Warnock had lost the dressing room and he has no tactical nous or footballing brain." What could he possibly offer Leeds? 3. "Ian Holloway has no tactical nous or footballing brain." Amazing that he achieved such success with Blackpool. All I can say is that he must have been very lucky or had qualities which we did not recognise when he was with us because we like our owners don't take the long view and give our managers time to do the job Funny how a matter of a few months, scrub that weeks, scrub that days, makes people forget that they were among the first to call for Warnock's head when thing started to go wrong. Interesting that Blackpool went up as miraculously as we did. They spent no money. Played bloody well, (at least when they were going forward even if their defending left a bit to be desired) and inevitably went down. To their everalsting credit, Blackpool's owners did not hit the panic button, Holloway remained in employment and Blackpool currently sit 4th in the table, in prime position to make a charge at the end and reclaim their place in the top flight. Are there lessons there for our owners and ourselves as fans? I hope so. The man was a legend and I wish him all the best for the remainder of this season and next. Wouldn't it be omething if after all that has been said and done, Ken Bates gives him more of a chance next season than he ever had with our owners past and present?
Neil must have had a good day today. Apparently the sewer rat, El Hardon Diouf, was getting plenty from the Leeds fans. Good luck to him. Right let us concentrate on US now.
I was merely (and ever so 'umbly) pointing out that I had predicted Warnock's appointment at Leeds back on 11th January (on the linked thread) before Grayson had been dismissed, is all.
