To be fair Brix...you did call Ali a donkey!! That's hardly in the "shades of gray between absolute but simple black and white" area!!
Bet you the new mark... I mean manager will find reinforcements in central midfield both holding and attacking.
SB i cant give you the answer to that it depends who is available, what im trying to say is that ali was not that strong in midfield and was tending to get knocked of the ball fairly easy at times we will have to wait and see if hughes is manager who he can attract to us.
Lofty you're a git! Never mention Ali when Col's about... you've got him started again! I said he's a bit of a donkey... Then and since, I gave accounts of his strengths and weaknesses. That's the gray shades. Love him or hate him represent the absolutes I rarely get into. Ali's neither brill nor ****... just a bit of a donkey filching around, ball winning and getting rid mostly sideways like it's a hot potato. Nothing like incisive enough getting forward. And yes, it was a brilliant, albeit rare, ball over to Barton for the goal against Norwich - and another through to Traore for DJ's goal against Wolves! But do we have to keep going over and over the same stuff all the time?
According to SSN Faurlin has made more tackles than any other player this season to date in the PL (90). http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_2705370,00.html
Well...only if people keep showing their lack of football knowledge with statements like that!! Oh and it was Ali's ball to Hill, who crossed for Barton's goal! Most pundits have raved about him this season as a proper looking Premier League player. All the reports of his tragic injury have included accolades alluding to his abiltiy!! Look......We'll never agree on this so let's call a truce. Oh and by the way...I don't think he's "brill" or a fantastic player ( Adel is!! ) and I have already said that his lack of pace will stop him being a top, top player imo. However, he's been one of our best players in the Premier League to date and I think we will miss him greatly.
