I couldn't agree more. And if Bates actually backs Warnock with a few decent signings it will feel better than it has for SO many years.
Grayson hasn't brought in any gems recently and bates reckons he's only said no once...... (wonder who that was?) maybe it was Grayson not bringing in the right calibre, Maybe warnock can bring in some other good players to compliment the good ones we have.... Hopefully he'll send O'Dea back.... he just switches off unfortunately.

As an outsider, I'd say it's mainly 1) and 3). A case of saying to the fans that Grayson wasn't sacked for underachieving with what he had, it was for signing crap so don't expect any better from them this season, and a signal that he expects Bates to back him in the transfer market in the summer or he's not going to accept any responsibility for failure to get promoted next season. The players I think he'll deal with more privately.
