However poor he's been this season, we need to play Jos!

They have played two team that we have lost to, Arse and Wigan- and they lost to them as well but the main difference being Fulham who they beat. Hoping we put a team out with Mayuka and Punch on the wings to attack them, have seen them on TV a couple of times and they play dire football

It was a joke people, because he's scored in his last two games against WH.

I genuinely think Hooiveld may be a better option than Yoshida. Jos has been exposed a bit this season, but that's usually been from quick or shifty players, the one thing he should be able to handle is Carroll and the rest of West Ham's big boys. Just not convinced Maya can compete with them in terms of power. Will certainly be a test for him if he plays.

They have idiot fans. We have idiot fans. There's no arrogance. We weren't lucky to be promoted - Reading were. These are the facts.

    Gazza
    Butters Fonte Jos Clyne/Fox
    JWP Morgan Davis
    Rodriguez Lambert Lallana

Fox last resort or we will lose for sure.
Jos's weaknesses will not come into play against WH. Maya's weaknesses may well do so for me Jos as we need both Fonte and Jos' power and height against these guys.

It would be suicidal to put Butterfield on the right.

Interestingly a more physical Championship style game m suit some of our players, like Fox & Hooiveld who fared better last season.

Credit to West Ham & how they have started; a point would be a good result. Adkins had a goox record agai.st Paul Lambert which he continued this season, hopefully he can do the same to Allardyce. But we were fortunate at theirs last year, can our defence be resolute

First half he could do a job, some good old strong tackling and balls to the front from deep whilst not pushing too far forward, then Reeves second half once the hoofball becomes 95% of their play.

Regarding Adkins I find him a bit of a smug bastard and I'm a Saints fan. Obviously I am very grateful for what he has done and I hope he continues the good work but he seems like the sort of person who would annoy me a lot, especially if he was in charge of another team.

I think we will do well to get a point against West Ham at their place, hope I'm wrong but I think they have bought well over the summer and think they will have slightly too much for us.

I know it's your opinion and you are entitled to one but this I find incredibly naive and vengeful. Butters against Matt Jarvis???? OMG. He'd be destroyed and I've never heard someone being picked because they'd be able "do a job in the first half".

The comment about losing for sure if Fox plays is unnecessarily vengeful towards a Saints player who has been exposed by the player in front of him. Fox was very poor against Villa and apart from that hasnt been as bad as made out. He isn't great by any standards, but he is ok. How naive to say we will lose a game for sure due to the selection of one player; way too melodramatic.

Personally, I think we'll do we'll to get a point.

Can we bring back Billy Sharp just so he can really annoy someone enough to get them a red card?

I think you're mistaking smugness for a genuine person who is deliriously happy in the job he has. Consider it. If you were of the type of person who had an ultra positive outlook [you may have to imagine that - some people genuinely are like this] and you were working in the profession you absolutely loved and getting that well paid for it that you were pretty much set up for life, wouldn't you appear that happy, almost to the point of smugness..? On the flip side, he could appear dog tired all the time, because you can also bet that he works harder than all of the people that he celebrates every week. Cortese pulled a master stroke getting him. It doesn't matter if his outward display does annoy the opposition fans. He's OUR manager.

Agree TSS but can sort of see where Saintsnmagic is coming from. If I supported another team Nigel would probably annoy me in the same way that Poyet, Wenger, Ferguson Jnr etc do now.
