I don't have my car at uni and despite driving it like a complete dick its been crazily efficient on fuel the past 2 years...

Bishop Auckland to Whitby and back again, Bishop Auckland to Darlington and back again, Bishop Auckland to Newcastle airport (all with 4 people in it, which is about as much as it weighs anyway) and all for £19!

Just replaced my car as my commute is a 40 mile round trip. New (second hand) motor did 63 MPG on the journey to work this morning compared to my old car which did 39 MPG.

I think if the price was around £1.20 per litre people would be happy enough.

I think when I past my test 6 years ago it was around the 80p/litre. Its a joke how quickly its risen! I used to go for random drives in the car...now I try and walk anywhere which is a decent distance. A few times I've cycled to work just becuase I couldn't afford to put petrol in the car.
