    Was at the 1st leg. Terrible game. We had Fatty Hesford in goal. Brilliant shot-stopper but had a leap of about 9 inches. He gave one away by chasing the ball outside his goal and eventually they just passed it in. I knew we were crap, but it was then I knew we were doomed. Back in the top flight in 3 years later though. Gabbiadini, Gates, et al, although I expect you remember the details... ;)

    Sitting in the club one Sunday afternoon after playing Sunday footie
    I asked the lads who fancied going to Roker Park to watch the game
    There were 6 of us went in two cars and we parked opposite the Bluebell pub and walked to the ground
    as we were walking around the ground looking to see which part would be best to get in and watch the game,
    this copper asked us if we were Newcastle Fans, we just laughed and said yeah
    he said to us get in there all the other Newcastle fans are in there which was the paddock closest to the Roker end
    when we got in we were stuck right at the back it was that packed <laugh>
    we were locked in for nearly an hour after the game by the police whilst they chased all the little kids away with their bricks etc
    we were singing our heads off while we waited, funny as fook <laugh>
