Its not about that though, it's not allowing Russia to dominate Europe through threats. We need to strengthen while we have the chance, not denying Finland and Sweden NATO membership out of fear, just because Russia is threatening. It seems clear Russia wants to re-establish the soviet union and dominate again. We need to strengthen now, not let more and more territory go out of fear.

He won’t invade Sweden or Finland as he has no pretext to do so. Plus after the showing in Ukraine Russia clearly doesn’t have armed forces capable of invading either Sweden or Finland especially if backed up by ours and/or NATO. It will be cowardly subversive type attacks. Putin is a bully and a coward and will not risk openly attacking with such a huge risk of losing again. And I cannot see him pushing the “button” or being allowed to by those in power.
Russia has basically shown it's military is not much better than Ukraines. Imagine if they tried it on with another super power?
