I don't mate, but I've always taken military land as forbidden to enter unless authorised. Years ago they were always guarded at the gate, the level of entry was dependent on the level of threat at the time, that meaning how strict were the searches as you entered, and you risked being shot if you did anything to cause harm or damage. I don't know what it is with people these days that they think they can do or go where they want, they can't - military bases are or should be no go zones, I don't even know why that would need explaining to anyone. As an added thing, I remember one island I went to on holiday, can't remember where now, but we were warned not to take any photos of military installations we were to pass, to do so could lead to your arrest if found.
Sorry mate, we'll agree to disagree, but they made their choice now they face the consequences, in my book they entered MOD land, therefore face a harsh penalty.
I just don’t see how they’re terrorists? Annoying yes, nuisances yes but terrorists is a strong word and to ban them for basically objecting to a war is madness
I think they probably knew all of that. I guess their argument would be that they were engaged in behaviour that was attempting to prevent supporting ethnic cleansing in Gaza. It's obviously something that they felt was worth taking a stand for.
That’s why I don’t see them as terrorists, they only target places and organisations that help Israel commit their genocide I’d put them on the same level as Just Stop Oil
As long as they accept the consequences, I think I said earlier, if someone tells you that you will serve seven years inside if you do x, as long as you accept that will be the consequence then fair enough, because there has to be a severe deterrent. I've been on a few military bases, many that no longer exist, and the searches can be strict dependent on level at any given time, sometimes you would have to have an escort. I'm sure a lot of bases display MOD signs about trespass, I know the one down in Hythe used to display noise possible from ammunitions lol I still remember the day that Deal barracks got done by the IRA, never forgotten it. Terrible day. People just need to keep off them, they got no place being there. I'm afraid even in the case of Gaza there is no excuse. You don't attack your own military forces.
Anyway, didn't Comm use to be a guard for the nuclear sub in Scotland. Imagine rocking up to him with tins of red paint, especially if he'd had a few beers lol... please log in to view this image
So trespassing on military bases and damaging property is sound if you think the cause is worthwhile enough?
Let’s not pretend this is an isolated incident of a few well-meaning plebs trying to ‘free Palestine’ by throwing a bit of paint on the side of a plane. It’s incredibly disingenuous even if this is the straw that has finally broken the camel’s back.
What else have they done to be proscribed as a terrorist group? They’re annoying and a nuisance but that alone doesn’t make them terrorists, if it did then all of us here are terrorists
Idiots, but for me their intention means they’re not terrorists. They’re just trying to stop a genocide
