Yeah we had a proper falling out. Part of it was concerning the stuff between you and HBIC and the ludicrous decision to ban you. But it was mainly due to other things. I tried to have him removed as mod as I believe he vastly oversteps his 'power' and almost never treats others with the same standards he demands of ordinary posters. But I was unsuccessful. Anyway, I've moved on. I have zero issue with our other two mods. As I said, the third now has me on ignore (because he can't cope with someone suggesting that he might be wrong), and thanks to @brb building a piss-poor website, I don't have the luxury of returning that favour (you can't put mods on ignore), so I now have to read his inane drivel and just bite my fingers and ignore it. I suppose it has taught me a degree of self control, which is a plus.
Just realised that Iran have qualified for the World Cup next year in the US. Kind of puts a bit of a spanner in the works….
I didn't build the website mate it's supplied by a software company, Xenforo, name at the very bottom of this page, on a server that's not based in the UK. I'd probably do a few of the bells and whistles differently, but nothing that's punter facing, more from an admin side. Especially as we've sort of moved away from the early days of anything goes, because the law is much stricter now. I actually don't have problems with the legal side of things, it;s all there for a reason which is mainly to protect kids and vulnerable people and any nasties that Twitter sometimes pushes the limit on....which I hate because it then risks getting pushed here.
Cuba qualifying would be fun. Sudan I think have a chance. Venezuela are going into the playoffs. Israel getting there would of course be the absolute dream scenario but would need Italy to be even more of a shambles than they normally are. turns out Cuba are out already. Shame. **** sake Sudan too despite doing well in qualifying.
I can't see why Iran would be prevented from entering, as long as they keep the right side of Trump, and after tonights show, it's clear Iran are not going to do anything to poke him. Tonight was tit for tat and gave Trump advance notice of the strikes, with no casualties, just with a few civi's in Qatar a bit shaken up. Hopefully we can move on from here and all get round the table for peace.
They’ll rig it to have them playing somewhere else. They can’t do that for every team they don’t want there but Iran will be top of the list.
