I said NATO members whose weapons contributed towards the destruction of GAZA or have you forgotten now, and the slaughter of thousands of children and thousands more with lost limbs....and you think I should be worried about Putin, righto bro.

Point taken about western weapons supplied to Israel. And yeah, Europe is right to be worried about Putin.

Anyway, we're on the matchday thread now mate.

A war is ok, as long as they are on your side. Any other wars are us protecting freedoms. Hmmm....something seems severely wrong with this logic to me.

and I'm worried more about western weapons and it's leaders than I am about Putin. Putin is one man, Western weapons are lots of despots who have gone mentally deranged.

Putin's narrative from day one has been that the creation of NATO essentially preserved the Cold War forever, and that the West has long forgotten that absence of conflict is not the same thing as peace.

I actually tend to agree with his sentiment but not with how he's trying to solve the problem.

Separately, Russia's inability to defeat Ukraine has made NATO more or less redundant. Most member nations will be able to hold their own in the event of war with minimal to zero help from other member states. Which is exactly what's been happening in Ukraine for years.

The only practical advantage NATO gives the West is that cumulatively we have more nukes than Russia, but if that ever becomes relevant we're all fecked anyway so what's the point?

Removing NATO and having a stronger European military alliance (not an EU federal state ffs) without American involvement would be more than enough to keep Europe secure from conventional threats.

I've said all along the West poked Putin and kept poking him, also I've said on the other side of the coin he needs a bullet to the head for the atrocities he has been party to. I stress dislike towards NATO, because I remembered what it did in Yugoslavia, much like the Middle East, kids got killed at the hands of western weapons. I trust no one, from any side. Everyone has an agenda, and that's why I will not condemn Putin as the sole villian. It's easy for any leader to put young lives on the front line, when it's not your own. Why would I agree to that happening, whether they be Russian, Ukranian, Israeli, Palestianian, Yugoslavian, Serbs, Croatians, it's just arguments that create death and mass destruction, we have no need to be where we are today, if countries and their organisations had handled themselves more responsibly.

they didn't just threaten, some accounts were frozen. Trudeau the left liberal who shut down legitimate protest in a way that no where in the western world has heard of.

They have actually passed it into law as well now

In case it wasn't apparent from my comment. I'm actually in the vaporisation zone from a nuke should Russia ever decide to take out the UK's main transatlantic communications.

Made sense to me too when he explained it. He said by the end of the years conflict 70k Taliban were reportedly still fighting, US leave they take over in 2 days, like they already knew.

Since then they've been on best behaviour. Even causing some minor drama with Iran.

Yep, funded, trained and armed the Mujahedeen, which became al-qaeda and Taliban. CIA funded Haqqani and reportedly Bin Laden who became key allies in the formation of al-qaeda

Jews will be playing a key role in all this too somewhere

    They always do

Examples go all the way back to when Moses retreated to mount Sinai for the 10 commandments
