There’s no power to bake the cupcakes. We need what’s left despite there being apparently no electricity for seven months to keep every ****’s iPhone charged.
Maybe not ... but neither has the proportion of child casualties to fighting men ... so time for some new thinking ... the ICC is not citing the Israeli regime on a whim ... it's down to actions that contravene the rules of war that were put in place to counter atrocities...
Yes it’s logical for kids to die when half the population are under 18, teenage boys with guns count towards the stats and they’re put in the way by their own.

It shouldn't be forgotten here that Hamas could stop this war at anytime, starting with the release of all hostages, they choose not to. So while I DON'T disagree with the arrest warrant of Netanyahu, it should also not be forgotten those same arrest warrants are being requested for Hamas leaders, probably just the foot soldiers though and not those that reside in Qatar. Hamas are Palestinians and they chose not to stop, hiding behind and within their own mothers and children. War is ugly, I call for Nety to stop his madman asasult across Gaza, but I also call on Hamas to stop WITHOUT conditions, you either want the killings of innocent lives to stop or you don't, pointing solely at Israel and demanding two state solutions is not how war works. You poked the bear and now it has gone on a rampage, do you want the bear to stop or not. Maybe consider this for one moment, instead of protests against Israel, if those protests were against Hamas, with the stopping of all donations, this war would have been long over by now - sometimes people chose not to look at the reality of life, and until they do, the deaths will continue. I apply the same principles as I do to Ukraine, by attempting to stop Russia's (Israel) assault has created untold deaths, the Ukranians (Gazans) are not to blame, but we seem to agree their deaths are acceptable in the fight to retain democratic freedoms, did I think those freedoms were worth it for the annialation of Mauripol (Gaza), not really, but we seemed to have accepted it, so why don't we accept the annialation of Gaza. In my head, Hamas need to make the first unconditional move for that to happen, but they won't, so it's stalemate and the death toll will continue to rise, blaming Israel for that seems a bit of a blinkered argument.
Thank you. A good time to mention Israel funds this website but this unbiased post is still appreciated.
This ‘war’ was started long before Oct 7th though. As reprehensible as that event was, it’s one in a long list of massacres that pepper this conflict. That have affected both sides. The fundamental tent here is that Israel are illegally occupying Palestine. Until that is resolved, there is always going to be armed resistance from the Palestinians
Three ways this war can end. 1) someone achieves their objectives. 2) someone runs out of money. 3) a population gets war fatigue at their people dying. None of the above look close to happening. Realistically this won't end until Hamas run out of money or Israel gets tired of all the killing and having their own people killed. Neither is close.
The majority of Israelis are not being directly effected by the day to day activities of this war and only remember the Hamas attack. They will have no political will to stop this fighting. The people demanding a ceasefire are a minority on the Israeli side. Gaza, for it's part, has no real political avenues to express the opinions of the majority who live there. It's been essentially run by an Iranian backed military junta for years, the only way that there will be a ceasefire on their end is if Hamas run out of money to keep fighting or are physically pushed out of Gaza. The only war fatigue on display is the US government really, as neither Iran nor the European powers seem to be blinking and Russia doesn't care.
Some positive news this morning - Norway is set to recognise a Palestinian state and it looks like Spain and Ireland are to follow - the more countries that do, the more pressure for a 2 state solution... and ultimately a lasting peace settlement...
