Hamas are known for setting up rocket launchers near civilian infrastructure so like I say it isn't hugely unlikely. It's definitely plausible. Logic (and history) suggests that the IDF bombing it is the most likely situation but the first casualty of war is the truth and we should always exercise caution imo. My concern is if true it will be used to ignore all the other war crimes they are committing. And let's not forget that they absolutely are committing war crimes even not factoring this incident.
Mark Regev who's always been a complete lying slimeball is on BBC News and said, we never target hospitals. Which is a complete lie as they hit 4 on purpose in 2014 and then justified it by saying Hamas were using them as human shields. Blatant liar.
Mate ... 6 airstrikes on Khan Younis and 3 on Rafah in the last 24 hours ... not failed Hamas rocket launches... rather fish in a barrel ... barrels labelled Southern Safety zones ... for the 1 million that were told to leave Northern Gaza by Israel ...
Yeah I can ****ing read BBC as well Fosse you daft old ****. What on earth has the other attacks got to do with my post? Completely irrelevant ffs. Are you suggesting it's a complete impossibility? If so that's naive and if not then we're in agreement. Note I'm not saying that it's what I think happened, just merely that it's plausible based on past behaviours.
Official statement... 'An analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the Al Ahli hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit. Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza."
Call me Mr Cynical Bollocks ... but these air strikes, timed on the verge of Egypt opening the Rafah gate, are a potent message that, if you are Palestinian, nowhere, absolutely nowhere in Gaza is safe for you ... so you'd be wise to leave Gaza forever when the gate opens ... ethnic cleansing with little subtlety...
Accepted mate ... but not from a courtyard in a hospital where 4,000 of their most vulnerable are sheltering ... the Israeli's will be monitoring where rockets are being launched from ... and will order airstrikes on the launch sites accordingly ...
Is it not the case that all of Gaza will be close to some urban areas ? It's not like Hamas have big separate military bases (they would have been bombed long ago) where they can place all of their military hardware (which again from their perspective would be stupid) Seems inevitable to me that some rocket launchers are going to be close to urban areas. The IDF statement could be plausible if it weren't for swathes of evidence of them bombing schools and hospitals in the past.
Completely irrelevant? Pointing out that there have been a series of airstrikes in the last 24 hours and it is therefore far more likely that the hospital explosion was another airstrike rather than a somewhat convenient failed rocket launch? I'm not saying it's a complete impossibility no... but what I am saying is what I've pointed out in the paragraph above - Israel has made 9 other airstrikes in the last 24 hours on southern locations that they encouraged Palestinian civilians to head to as they would be 'safe' there - official Israeli statements... ergo they obviously don't give a flying **** for the increasing numbers of civilian casualties ... Over 4,000 Palestinian deaths with well over a 1,000 being kids ...
From past conflicts with the terrorists in Gaza, we know that on average about 33% of rockets that they shoot at us, fall short and land in Gaza." Mark RegevAdviser to Israel's prime minister If that's the case, then wouldn't we have seen 1/3rd of all rockets launched from Gaza creating mass destruction on the ground in Gaza ?
Tbh to a certain extent who gives a fck who fired it. Innocent ppl are getting killed and maimed, it doesn't matter to them who fired the fcker. Whoever it was, the point is it needs to STOP! We need a ceasefire. Enough ffs!
We don't see anything, we watch footage from select cameras which show us random bombs on specific targets. If you look at the Gaza skyline, the city looks perfectly intact, you can then sit there and claim no bombs at all have been dropped. It's absolutely plausible, if not extremely likely that atleast 33% of Hamas Rockets fired miss and land within Gaza. These systems are old, poorly maintained and fire a lot of Rockets.
Ultimately this is a meaningless debate, everyone who hates Israel will blindly say it's Israel and the opposite will say the opposite. As Treble says, it's pointless. It's the fog of war and tons of rockets are being fired under high pressure.
One of my earlier points ... this is the first 'failed' rocket launch reported ... convenient that it accounts for hospital explosion deaths that would otherwise be a nailed on war crime if caused by an aggressor ... ... but seriously, Hamas launches a rocket from the middle of a hospital where 4,000 very vulnerable Palestinian civilians are sheltering?
