Think I've worked out a solution to all this. If Israel are fcked off with the arabs why not lay a siege on Newcastle and take that out. I'm sure it would have worldwide support. I'd say begin by cutting off the water but they've probably already been doing without for decades.
Just read this. We don't necessarily think of this but as well as dehydration another concern is dysentry and cholera. I was listening to someone from a U.N. Humanitarian organisation who said when Israel turned off the electricity ti Gaza, they turned off the desalination plants and the wastewater treatment. So any water that was coming through the taps was unlikely to be clean but ppl will drink what they can bcos they're desperate. They also had medical teams there and they were interviewing one doctor who was called to deal with an emergency. And they asked him how he was going to clean the wounds and he said he would use whatever tap water was available even if it was mixed with sewage. They had no alternative.
I reckon just plain drinking water alone I must get through roughly 2 litres a day (excluding other drinks tea etc), I wouldn't even want to imagine not having a supply.
All this talk of the humanitarian issues is irrelevant there are two groups of people here who don't care if the other is removed from the face of the earth, women and children included. There's no saving this. Both are wrong and there's no resolving this issue regardless off what negotiations happen or what suggestions are made by 3rd parties. I'm sure there are perfectly reasonable, sensible civilians on both sides but their voice will not be heard.
I was looking at the temperature out there today mid to high 20 degrees, imagine not having drinking water in that heat, fook that. I wonder how soldiers in all that kit even manage it.
