So the Israeli and media PR has gone into full swing. If you're pro-palestinian you support terrorists. If you criticise Israel you're antisemitic. All I've heard on radio programmes and news from first thing this morning. Like clockwork as always after every major middle-east crisis.
Working with survivors from Kfar Aza. 40 children found murdered, many beheaded, carcasses strewn across the floor. Almost the whole town was massacred. Harrowing beyond words. We haven't slept since we landed. Our family friend's son is still missing. We were also deeply saddened to hear that Vivian Silver was badly injured and abducted from Be'eri, another town almost totally wiped out. Vivian is a colossus in the peace movement, setting up a large grassroots organisation after the 2014 conflict to bridge political and religious gaps between the two sides. She was well into her 60's when she set it up and could have enjoyed a quiet retirement. But she didn't. She devoted every hour of her newfound free time to fight for peace. Although I never saw eye to eye with her on her political views, I have the utmost respect for her devotion to the cause. Anyone who thinks Hamas isn't part of the problem needs their head rattled.
Like I said yesterday this didn't start on Saturday, it will have been in response to events that won't have made the news. The thing is, it won't end with Israel's actions in Gaza. What does everyone think will happen if they kill every single Hamas member whilst flattening and killing more innocent ppl? All it will do is create more militants and terrorists in Gaza. So what does that mean, we now blame Israel because that was bound to be the cause of them flattening the most deprived and densely populated place on the planet? It's pointless. It's been done before and it doesn't work. The only way this will end is if the route cause is dealt with. The irony is that unlike Ukraine, it actually doesn't need military intervention. It needs diplomatic efforts by strong players and financial consequences for both parties. Let that sink in, to find a solution does NOT need military intervention. This what we're seeing now will do fck all to solve anything.

Absolutely horrible mate - and I don't think there is anyone who doesn't think that Hamas is / are part of the problem... but sensible negotiations, like the ones that happened with the provos in Ireland, is the only lasting solution ... the air strikes in Gaza certainly aren't - they'll only serve to create another generation of young men willing to join Hamas to avenge those deaths ... and the spiral will continue...
40 babies most beheaded, 260 people butchered in cold blood at a festival, what sort of sick teacher are you to find excuses for this massacre? How about you tell us what happens if Hamas the organisation you support were wiped out, what would happen, is there more of these 'brothers' that you previously referred to - because I certainly don't imagine Palestinian civilians carrying out such sick depraved acts. You keep pointing the finger at Israel, and I'll keep reminding you what sick 'brothers' you support, if they are the kind of acts above that they carry out. I wouldn't want to negotiate with those sort of brutal terrorist organisations, but it matters not, because the map will change, there is no way Israel and the US will ever allow this to happen again. Hamas will be eliminated.

I don't remember the Provo's beheading babies, the provos also moved away from attacking civilians because it would lose support, so they focused on finance and buildings, only then did it work and the British Government sort an alternative to gain peace. The actions of Saturday will never bring anyone to the table.

I understand that, but no one is going to come to a table while atrocities are being commited, the only thing that brings people to the table is money, that is something we learned from the provos when they attacked the financial sectors.
