It's very possible. She didn't look pregnant. Never suspected she was pregnant at the time. She just looked like she got fat really quickly. Never crossed my mind while she was living nearby she was pregnant. It wasn't until a few years later I had that "oh crap!" Thought.

Considering Russia can't move anymore and has resorted to indiscriminate murder until it gets what it wants, I can see Donbas being granted some form of independence and Russia retreating claiming a glorious victory. Wouldn't be surprised if Belarus saw civil war in a few years due to this conflict.

Seems to me, the limited amount I know, they are never going to resolve the situation in the Donbas, I think much like Crimea, with the Donbass they are going to have to accept it's disputed territory. As for cutting the country in two, I'd tell the Russians to fook off. I'd go in with the approach, if you want half the country, then we will look to join NATO, which would mean weapons all along the border. IF we concede just the Donbas, then we will remain neutral, under condition of no future aggression, or claims of liberation.
I too would just sacrifice the donbas for that exact reason. Its going to wage war forever there. I would concede Donbas maybe in return for a firm, official, recognition of Ukraines borders as they stand after the conflict, loud, clear and official. Then it can be put firmly to bed.
