Here's my take on it. I get what your mate is saying. We need to do something about uncontrolled immigration but i don't know what that is. Likewise, when the vibes were bad with china (they aren't great now still) at the peak during covid, i definitely was more weary going out and about even though london is super multi cultural. Just news stories here and there about people being abused/attacked. It's the same with wearing a fancy watch in central london. Chances of getting attacked something bad happening is low but you are just weary of it. Fortunately in this country, most people are tolerant and most people are understanding but you just never know if the tide ever turns. **** always gets worse when peoples lives get worse and with the way the economy and the demographics is right now, i can only see there being more trouble in the future
There's a story behind this lol....I wanted wholemeal bread, but the bread in the supermarket were all only one day use within, ****ed if I'm buying a 800g loaf to use in a day. They had Hovis wholemeal with decent date lines on them, but tbph I'm not overkeen on their wholemeal, white is ok, but I need to avoid it. The only thing with decent dates, within the range of what I was looking for were Wholemeal Baps. 4 x Baps something like £1.35 absolute rip off, but that's what I had to pay, to get anything close to what I wanted, so I bought two packs, so £2.70, I know I'm mad, totally ****ing mad.
Interesting take. I can honestly say that up here, folk have always used the Chinese people to make their point about how foreigners should be that come to the country. Hard working, no crime, easy integration, respectful of the British culture. Can’t ever remember a time in my life where I’ve heard or seen people reference any Chinese person as problematic.
I know where you are coming from Bobby and completely understand, sadly there are some right dickheads out there.
Think it’s time we built our wall and keep them ****s and the problems down south innit. We still okay up here mainly. Maybe rebuild Hadrians wall too. Scottish are starting to become pests with their hatred about everything English. Fk em all.
You're being too one dimensional about it. The point was made that trauma inevitably produces eternal extremism. History shows that this simply isn't the case. The West Bank is one example. Ireland is another. Of course there will be scar tissue and it will be immense, but time and shifts in values and priorities heal. The alternative is seemingly to give up a s despair that nothing will ever change and no one will ever heal. Not sure why anything I said elicited such a personal attack in response. I assume you were just in one of your moods.
