Walter is a legend. He'll soon be back at Rangers and will have you buoys quaking in your boots. Love it.
Neil Francis Lennon slayed an entire football club. He has nothing to fear from some pensioner who couldn't be arsed to save his club. Now he rocks up at the coroners office and waves a few shiny objects and the Exhuns are all wide eyed and compliant. Even Paddy Med Dog knows that technically whatever the Cardigan nanages to get his hands on will be a new club. Aint that right Paddy?
Get yerself tae **** Walter. You had months to put in a bid. Why turn up with a "bid" one hour before completion of the sale? Why turn up with a bid when there was already and accepted and binding agreement between Green and D&P? What was yesterday's farce designed to acheive? Destabalize the club? Well ****in done ya dick.
Do you suspect that Walter is the mystery man who Ally was apaprently talking to behind Green's back? If he is then I agree and his timing could not be worse, why not do this weeks agao, before Liquidation was a formality?
If he really loved the club more than he loved the myth surrounding himself he would have. Made his intentions known earlier & Treated Mr Green with the dignity he deserves.
Dunno what it's all about. I don't normally tend to get angry over footballing matters, even eveything that's happened to Rangers over this past few months, but this new farce pissed me off. I can't figure out what it was meant to achieve, other than a PR stunt designed to destabalize us at point of sale. Anybody any ideas? Anybody?
It's hard to decide Gambol. Maybe Walter's crew could only get a bid together in that time frame? The timing of the bid, just after Green has bought the club is iffy. Or maybe Jimmy D is right and Walter didn't want to be involved in the liquidation process. Although that suggests an aura of self-serving rather than love of Newco.
He admitted to supermarket rage the other day. He's not the calm, laidback, chilled out Gambol he would have everyone on not606 believe.
Indeed. It looks very calculated. The business equivalent if grave robbing. If it is calculated then what the **** was he doing standing in front of a sign to raise money for a clown? Asking fans of Rangers to put in money to save Rangers when he knew it couldn't be done (and he didn't want it done) is ****ing scandalous. And to be greeted like some kind of Messiah for doing it is just plane stupid. I dont feel sorry for 99% of Huns but guys like that fella who came onto the Celtic board when we took the piss out of his t-shirt idea must feel completely hoodwinked by the Cardigan this morning.
They don't. They are all experiencing a saviour complex, the Rangers fans playing the role of dependants and Walter is in full-on Michael Jackson at the BRIT's mode. It's like putting a mobile above a baby's crib. Keep the ****s smiling and occupied.
it was to let Green/Miller/Ng/Kennedy take all the risk and then use the moral leverage of Walter the great and the financial leverage of telling folk to buy no season books to try and force the hand of Green. Green saw this coming and tried to cut it off at the pass by saying that all the players had to go with the new club. Smith and McCoist have the moral leverage there too. It is sneaky as ****. It will potentially create Continuity Rangers AND Real Rangers and make people make the choice. Smith and the Soul, green and the ground. Or make certain that the new club plays no football at all in 2012/13.
